    Any postage option?

They are probably looking to drum up local business that they can convert to ongoing business.

The margins in the print game are already low as it is. They don't need to try and win interstate business. They would be looking to cater for the local market.

$9.50 for 100 is pretty much below cost. And that's only taking into consideration toner and paper. If you take into consideration the labour, the 4 guillotine cuts to crop it from SRA3 to A3, the electricity and the printer leases etc. The actual cost would be much higher.

It's a very, very good deal for people located in Melbourne.

        • -1

You only need 2 cuts to drop SRA3 to A3. Trim the short edge from 320mm to 297mm and the long edge from 450mm to 420mm.

Other than that, 9.5c per A3 poster is amazingly cheap considering it costs more than 9.5c for to produce a colour poster on gloss paper. I'm just curious what stock they'll be using. Offset stock may differ a lot in quality compared to stock designed for use with whatever machines they have.

You need 4 cuts because of the bleed

In the link it says 130gsm gloss art

Sounds like lyrics from a The Used song.

        • +1

          @PBG:

Your explanation made perfect sense, thank you for that. I assumed stratbargain meant trimming SRA3 to A3 and then printing on A3 rather than printing on SRA3 and then trimming it which would be an issue for printers that do not print to edge.

        • +2

          @fossilfuel:

Now I'm scratching my head as to why you'd cut SRA3 down to A3 before printing :)
As for printing to the edge, I'm not aware of any digital printers that will print (cleanly all the way) to the edge, hence the SRA3 to A3 cropping.

        • @stratbargain:

Most likely to save on expenses associated with printing on large stock and then guillotining that down. Printing on A3 leaves an ugly white border around the final product but most people don't really mind.

Yes you're right, even the best digital printers purposed for mass printing jobs don't print cleanly all the way to the edge.

      YES. Inc GST.

  • +1

Do you make your design/upload photo on the website?

  • -2

Great little trick here for a printing company boosting their google rank. Have a really good deal specific to a local area so only a few people can actually get it, but then a hell of a lota people talk about it online. Nice job!

    • +4

That doesn't make it a bad deal ☺️

      • And given there are no direct links here, it's probably not really boosting the PageRank that much.

  • +8

Long ago I recall there was a promo by a company based in abbotsford where they would do an A3 printout of any image(I sent One Direction's) you sent.
Till now,I am still waiting for its arrival.By now my niece has also outgrown her love for One Direction. Does anyone remember that "deal"?

      • +3

Wow it looks like the same company (same domain, very similar name). I would recommend anyone who is considering taking up this current deal read through the comments on that prior deal and due appropriate due diligence before making their purchase.

      • +1

Thanks.Reading the link you posted reminded us of customers' frustrations.
Wow!I had 7 -ve for speaking the truth!!

        • I must apologise… I was initially a negger of your comment before I started digging through nosuchuser's link. I have since removed my negative vote but OzB won't let me positive vote you now. Your comment is totally valid and even the neg vote you made on this deal I think is valid because it is an issue you had with this company (in line with OzB voting guidelines).

        • +1

          @PBG:
Thanks.no worries.i just spoke the truth.i saw that my -ve vote had been revoked! Interesting…

    • uhh is this grounds for the neg?

      • +1

Does look like it could be the same people/company

        • +1

Well lets hear some background on it. Did he follow up etc.

    • +2

Phew, at least she outgrew it!

    • +2

You lost me at "One Direction"

      • +3

How could you get lost going one direction?

    • +1

      Hi Jotay,

Just to clear this up. During the FREE promotion, we had orders of over 5,600 free give away to promote the business.
As the promotion was free, this was a pickup only or pay $1 for delivery. As this was a free giveaway, about 5% of customer did
not pickup their prints. Jotay, if you believe you did not get your prints, please send an email and prove that you tried to
contact someone here to find out the order is and send an PM me and I will help you out.

You can print anything you want. You do not have to print out the One Direction pictures. :)

      • So indeed it is the same company. I recall looking at the various comments about some who had received their free prints then, only getting them crumpled etc.And of course, many others commented they had no responses thereafter. I summise then that was a dud.

So hopefully to those who use your service this round, they will have more positive experience.

As for my order back then, why would I bother to look through my emails to prove to you, since I already decided it was a dud then.

It's not looking good. They keep changing their name and get a lot of bad reviews.

I just searched xtreemtc review (https://www.google.com.au/search?q=xtreemtc+review) and these came up

      http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2026290
      http://www.productreview.com.au/p/snappy-sumo/6.html
      http://www.aroundyou.com.au/place/businesses/xtreem-technolo…

Which led me to search for Snappy Sumo

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/75071
      http://snappy-sumo.pissedconsumer.com/

It mentioned they'd changed from myphotobox.com.au if you want to search for that, I saw a few negative things here or there and people confirming another company wasn't them so they could avoid them.

      • Hi Miss B. to keep the story really short.

Xtreem was the head marketing company for an oversea partnership that went terribly wrong.

Deal company that customers have purchased prints refused to refund customers for whatever reason.
(Remember, customer pays deal company and not to Xtreem)

It left us scrambling to assist customer. A well known deal company went under receivership at the time and
left about 500 customers in the lurk with vouchers they cannot redeem. Their site was shut down and left
us trying to assist customers. Xtreem helped as many customers as possible during the saga.
Unfortunately a lot of Customers vent their anger through forums and website.

As a merchant, we've learnt a lot of lesson with dealing with deal companies.

We apologised to all customers at the time. We tried our absolute best to help everyone as much as we can
        based on each scenario.

        • +1

Maybe that is part of it. They're not all from the same deal company or the same time. The reviews are across a 2 year period and from at least Groupon, Scoopon, Cudo and Ourdeal. Some don't mention who they paid. The reviews suggest they were able to put in their orders for their items they just didn't receive them for months, if at all, and they were poor quality. Did you look here? http://www.productreview.com.au/p/snappy-sumo/6.html

        • Hi Miss B,

We've received about 15,000 orders during this period. What you saw on the website is less than 1% of issue which
alot of them was solved. We got a lot of happy customers but unfortunately, you wont hear this on the net as much
          as disgruntle customers.

  • When I was living In Melbourne I would always use these guys! I was always happy with what they did, I had a couple of problems but they would always look after me and fix anything that was wrong..

    • Thanks for the positive review Scratchmaster. If anyone has a concern about the deal, please PM me.

  • Abbotfords :)

  • Am I able to purchase just for blanks or upload a blank picture

    • Hi Centrelink, what do you mean?

      • He wants 100 blank A3 gloss sheets of paper for $9.50.

        • Lol, thats a strange request, BUT if that's what he wants, who am i to complain?

Send me the order and email to [email protected] with your order number and
          request for "PAPER ONLY" request.

    • +1

Typical centrelink, you just print money don't you

      • +2

        No centrelink just wastes paper

  • I have been dealing with xtreem for years and years, pretty much since they opened their doors just settling blank cds at markets.

They have never been anything but helpful, good value and an all round great business.

    • Hi Brentsbits, thanks for the positive review.

      • +1

Least I could do with the service you have given me over the years. I used to be in competition with you selling blank discs at markets. There's a reason you are still in business and I've moved on to other things.

  • Your website is flashy but terrible! passwords emailed in plain text, registering clears the cart, payment success screen did not work. now i cant log in?

    • Hi Taylorn8r, can you please email [email protected] with your username and issue. I'll get him help you out and still honour
the deal if it goes past the time. Thanks for the feedback.

    • The website needs a bit of optimising as it uses 100% CPU after loading, I am guessing for that countdown display or the advertising banner underneath.

Someone using a cheap and tiny laptop may struggle to do much with it.

      • Hi TransportPosters, the website is under a lot of stress now since the deal . There are over 100 active customers on it placing orders. :)
Very sorry, our server is currently experiencing high level of users.

        • This wouldn't cause high CPU usage on a user's machine. It's the Flash or Javascript which would be causing it. Maybe have a chat to your website developer about finding a way to stop it from happening.

  • Rep. do you do menus for restaurants. I usually print them myself on A3 paper but wouldn't mind looking at full color ones. I only saw option for A4 under brocheurs.

    • Hi Bbourizk, YES we do a lot of different menus for restaurants. The A3 paper is under GENERAL PRINTING=>DIGITAL POSTER on the website.

If you need professional menus, come and see us in Abbotsford. There is a huge showroom for store owners that
want menus, take away brochures, light boxes, outdoor and indoor signages.

      • Thanks mate. I'll check it out. I do live in country Vic so it's a 3 hour drive. But usually pop down to the big smoke everynow and then.

  • Is it 100 sheets of one design? Or can I have 100 different designs?

    • Hi, just 1 design. :)

    • One design only.

  • Love to get sin city printed on A3 paper…. one giant mofo paper to read on the way to work.

  • How much to post to Sydney?

    • Hi, delivery is
      Victoria - $10.50
      Interstate (outside VIC) - $13.50
Please mention this in the COMMENTS section during ordering that you need DELIVERY.

  • I be bought hundreds of blanks discs of these guys. Never had a problem.

Interesting that he uses the phrase girls online chat and HOT in the instructions. That sure stood out 😀

    • Did it work? :)

  • I'm after A2 prints but minimum orders seems to be for 25 posters (under general printing). Am I able to do 2 copies of that size and what is pricing like?

    • +1

Bling, A2 posters are under WIDE FORMAT PRINTING->WIDE FORMAT POSTERS. Min order is 1.

  • I would like to print some of my photos.
What is the different in prices and quality between a poster and photo print at your place? :)

  • Hi Henry, please email [email protected] with your requirements.
    1. Size of photo.
    2. Paper type, GLOSS, MATT, UNCOATED, PHOTO
    3. Quantity.

  • How long do I have to upload the design. I would love to make use of this deal but I don't have the design ready yet.

    • Hey Rack, place the order, then you can have 5 days to upload the artwork to us.

  • Initially thought of ordering, but going thru the comments decided to spend the money somewhere else. Staying away from these guys look like a good option.

    • Hi Bargainhunter, I'm sorry you feel this way. Please read my other posting to another concern customer above.
      Thanks.

  • So is it just one design for 100 posters? Or can I upload all different images?

    • 1 design for 100 posters.

    • One design as mentioned above.

  • Maybe combine this offer with these free posters from NASA

    http://www.openculture.com/2016/02/14-free-posters-from-nasa…

  • After I entered my payment details, the browser crashed…twice.
    Website seems buggy…

    • Hi Congngo, we are experiencing a high level of users trying to order. Please try again at a later time.

      • Still not working.
I have entered my payment details 5 times now and still no confirmation screen.

  • I created an account using my details and email address.

However the account information comes up as
    Email = [email protected]

Where did this email come from?

    • Hi Congngo, can you please speak with someone on LIVE ONLINE CHAT? Its located on the bottom right of the website.
      Someone can help you there.

  • Do we get a confirmation email when the order is ready? How long does printing usually take?

    • Hi Lauren, you will get an email notification when the prints are ready. If you haven't received one, please
goto the website and speak with someone on live chat.

  • +1

How long does the refund take?
