Same price as mower recently posted

You mean the one I just mentioned and linked above? I think your link is a dupe :)

    • The other 36v tools weren't mentioned in that post.

      • So may be combine them.

        • Maybe, but I thought the mower deserved to keep its own post. The mower is a better deal.

        • If they are combined my vote would be to use this deal as the description is at least somewhat useful.

  • If they are as great as the line trimmer I bought a few weeks ago to use for a small to medium yard, It's a deffinate purchase for me.

    • and what trimmer would that be…..

I was hoping it was a combination Chainsaw/Blower/Trimmer for $129…
    :P

  • Cordless Chainsaw. Stealth "Nocturnal View Improvement" here I come.

  • call me cynical but a 36V chainsaw ain't gonna cut shit

Try using a spade for that.
I have a 18V chainsaw, which is good for pruning mature trees from the top of a ladder, as it can be operated one-handed and does not kick.
The 32V has a bigger bar, but expecxtg it to cut a little slower than a petrol model. Not a problem.
Also good for camping. Not recommended for felling old-growth forests though.

  • anyone found stock of these?

    • Bunnings Morley WA had a few.

  • Thanks. Ozbargain has cost me 258.- so far today and it's not even evening yet

Not really a bargain as their rrp is $149.

picked up a chainsaw for $129 at Bendigo bunnings - pretty happy with size of wood that it can cut but have already had to charge the battery 4 times over as it doesn't last very long and has a very slow charge time of 3 hours…

  • Seems to be the new normal price. Sale tags removed and shelf prices updated.

Picked up the hedge trimmer today and gave it a quick spin. Surprised at the power it has. Feels just as good as the 240v version. The 36v/3ah means this unit has ~108wh of power on board which is getting up there. 62cm is a pretty long reach for a cordless. I'll give it a longer run.

    • Gave it another run for about 20 minutes today. cuts really well. Trimmed a couple of big hedges. Happily chops through finger sized branches. My arms gave out well before the battery did. Judging by the battery level I'd estimate 40-60 minutes of run time.

Couldn't imagine swinging a bigger version. I think my arms would fall off.
