I only see the Wi-Fi version for that price.

  • OP, it's the Retina WiFi one that's $344 and not the + Cellular model. They're different.

    Edit:

It seems you've just edited the deal so ignore my comment.

      I did ;)

      • Thanks Spackbace. Apologies for the typo initially.

      • O, I see. I thought moderators had 'Mod' or something like that next to their usernames. Didn't realize we had undercover ones among us. Nice to meeting you again, mod. :)

        • Spackbace is a 'Power user' i believe, a frequent and trusted contributor to the site. Moderators are different and usually indicate they have their 'mod' hat on when doing those duties, but not always indicate as they are members too not just mods.

        • @sigh: Aha! I didn't even know there are 'Power users', as well as the regular moderators. I thought anyone who could edit, delete or has any power/permission of that kind was just a moderator. Well, you learn new things every day. Ta

          @AussieDaddy: …'Power users' run on Eneloops :P

        • @greenlantern: LOL! Good one, GL. :)

        • @AussieDaddy:

Power Users are the non-paid editing people, it's really just born out of boredom lol
We have the ability to edit posts, titles etc. Not comments. And even we have to report stuff for mods to fix :)

@Spackbace: It's always good to know who's who of your community. Thanks for the 411, mate. :)

$335 + free postage at DWI… For some reason it shows up at $444, but if you add to cart and check out, it comes down to $335…

OP price is the same as Good Guys and Officeworks for pickup. Don't know about postage costs for those.

    Edit:

OW has free postage over $50 to most locations. Save $9 postage.

Good Guys has 120% price guarantee. Buy silver at GG for $369, fill out form for price guarantee and get $30 store credit making it $369 + $30 to spend in store some other time.

  • Same price in store.

Good price only if its cellular

And 16gb isn't really enough storage for most people. As it actually becomes less then 12gb. (11.7Gb for us).

I reckon I delete apps & reinstall once a week just to free up space (since apps like to cache content).

    • +1

OMG! This, exactly. What's with the cache bulls#!t? I had Destiny/Bungie app taking up almost 4gb. Couldn't work out how I was running it of space using like 6 or 7 apps, no photos and no videos…

    • Takes me back to the days of having a 5MB HDD. Room for one game at a time!

  • Wasn't it like $299 just a few months ago?

    • It was $349 for the Cellular version:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/244827

      • That cellular version deal lasted about 3 mins and was expired. More of a pricing error. Don't know anyone who got it for that price. So I'm calling BS on it being $349 from that post…

        • Got it ….

        • @Wick: Also got it a day or 2 after it had expired.

        • -1

@unity1: Riiiight… So it wasn't working online, a store employee said they knew nothing of it and you got it 2 days after it expired. Got a copy of the receipt for that, I'm keen to chase that up…

        • @unity1:
I don't think there's any reason for him/ her to lie about a deal.

        • @grizz_li: I was told instore when I enquired about it that no one knew anything about it and it may have been a pricing error and that any orders would be cancelled anyway. I want an invoice so i can jam it up the smug managers arse when I go back in and tell them what I think of their shit customer service…

        • @grizz_li: I haven't accused anyone of lying about a deal. I was told to prove I had ordered 2 days after the deal had expired and I have provided that proof.

  • the ipad mini 2 cellular 16 gb was for $365 at optus last year. and those were unlocked straight out purchase. wait two months for similar deals in mini 4.

  • Whats the performance of the ipad min2 like on iOS 9?

    • Mine runs absolutely fine. Never stutters, though I suppose apps don't load SUPER fast. I do have the 32GB version, which has a little more room to breathe.

  • When is mini 5 comming?

  • Well on a similar topic, I couldn't find any deals on iPad Minis or Air 2 as I needed it for my DJI Phantom drone so I got a iPad Pro 9.7" 32GB from Optus on a contract at $43 per month. This is $10 off the regular price as I have other services with them.
It works out quite cheap if anyone is interested in getting one too.
