  • I bought a kilo of this last week and they seem to have changed the grind size to much larger. It was really coarse, the size you would normally use in a French press so not suitable for an espresso at all. Tasted bitter and disgusting when I tried. I have used this brand from time to time for years, but if this is a permanent grind size change I wont use them again.

    • Get yourself a grinder. The preground is never quite fresh by the end of the packet.

      • Yes I have a good one but I still use these from time to time for convenience as they are vacuum sealed.

  • including the organic beans?

    • No, the 1kg organic beans is $20 and today is the last day so you better buy it now.

      • Just got home and my wife bought 2.

The organic beans are the best in the Vittoria range.

          @PW:

I prefer the Vittoria "Mountain Grown" in the black packet. The most expensive, but it is the best taste by far. IMHO, of course.

        • Both are $20 when they were on special. I tried that and I don't like it. I'm happy with the organic beans.

  • Would you recommend just getting the beans and grinding them yourselves? I really like this coffee I find it's got a better taste than Vittoria mountain grown and a lot better than Lavazza.

    • Yeah 3kg of lavazza left from last 50% off, won't buy it again I usually get the blue mountain Vittorio…is the organic better ?

      • +1

no idea if its better but we prefer the organic one for taste ( we arent buying it because of the organic tag, just for the taste)

woolworths seems to periodically have these on sale at 40% off. it's the only time i buy coffee tbh

    • That's right. Never pay full price at any supermarkets.

      • And cheaper than Aldi that way.

        • Aldi's consumables are good, but foods are yuck.

  • Does this brand have instant coffee? Currently drinking moconna.

    • Try the nescafe barrista instant. It's pretty good.

      • Thanks! Will add that to my list.

  • I've been using coles fair trade medium dark roasted beans in a good mid range expresso setup now for about 18 months and have been very happy with it, consistant roast and grind, and only $12 a kg.

  • I usually buy the Vittoria Oro Ground Coffee
1kg 4x250g to get around freshness issues. It's that on 2 for 1 as well?
