Do they have Gold and Silver?

      • +1

Nope sorry don't have gold, neg revoked.

      • +3

Extremely sorry for hijacking this deal once again, but The Good guys have just dropped the price of their S7: Black is now $892.8, Silver is $901.6

        • +1

All good. I'm all for the best price :)

I edited my post to include your link but I'll keep the Bing Lee link anyway just in case TGG runs out of stock.

  • Ohh thanks for the reminder about the higher cashback from shopandmint! Wonder if it is legit with them?

    • +1

OP certainly did not use shopandmint recently. It stopped service.Be aware not use it!

      • Ohh thanks for the warning!

  • +2

Sorry maybe i'm missing something, but why is the s7 edge in black $919?

    • Typo. Fixed now.

  • Would snap it up if it was closer to $800, still decent price though

  • +1

Just a heads up that Samsung are offering https://www.samsung.com.au/promotions/gear-vr-offer/

HOWEVER, in the T&C, it states the following:

    e) "Participating Retailer" means a retail store, operator or an online retailer in Australia that sells the Participating Product, and excludes online bidding or auction websites (including www.ebay.com.au) or any unauthorised retailer/operator, or a second hand store. The Promoter recommends that prior to purchasing a Participating Product, the customer verify that the retailer is authorised to participate in this Promotion;

    • I have read from other threads that you get a separate invoice when you buy from bing lee and good guys, at least for orders picked up

      • +1

I find that all eBay sellers that have an actual shop would include tax invoices with eBay orders.

        • Can anyone confirm the above is true ?
That you get a retail invoice if you pickup from store?

        • +1

@Futurist: Yes i can confirm that I got a retail invoice when i picked up from Bing lee. Invoice does not mention ebay at all

        • @lokesh7:

Ordered a phone from TGG and had it delivered it was with a separate invoice… I'm in Melbourne so hope BL also send out a invoice so that I can claim the TRS

        • @lokesh7: Did you order from this deal? (i.e. got a 20% ebay discount) Does it mention a discount value on your Bing Lee invoice?

        • +1

@lowKey: Yes I ordered from this deal and no it does not mention the discount on the invoice. But Tax invoice is not sent via email, I got it from the store when i picked up the phone

        • @lokesh7: FYI my invoice mentions the ebay discount :(

        • @lowKey: Interesting. Although it makes sense as I checked nutri ninja invoice i got from them last month and it also mentions ebay discount. Seems like somehow S7 edge slipped through the tracks, ah well ATO will get a little bit more GST

        • got my S7 delivered yesterday from TGG but no invoice, just the delivery slip on the outside.. going to contact them for one so I can claim the Gear VR

I have been using the s7 edge since launch.

Best smartphone in the world. I can't fault it.
Battery life is just superb. I think I only charge it 3 or 4 times a week and it only takes like 50 minutes to go from 50% to 100%.

    Best smartphone camera ever made.
200 GB microSD card comes in handy. It's also really nice to hold if you don't like cases.

No other phone comes close to the Super AMOLED QHD screen.

    • Im about to get the normal S7 when i get paid, what does the edge do in comparison? Also, i think it only reads the max 200gb sd card, so if they make anything higher then it wont work right? I currently have a samsung evo 128gb sd but will be buying a 200gb sd made by SanDisk. Dont think samsung make 200gb ones

      • The edge has better battery life, if I wanted to get the normal S7 I'd probably choose the 10 instead. But I'd choose the edge if I wanted better battery life due to the bigger battery.

        • Sorry what do you mean by choosing the "10"?
I thought the bigger and better battery on the Edge model was just to accommodate the edge and its features - needs more power to function

        • @khdsl: HTC 10. (I'd personally choose 10 over S7, but wouldn't choose it over S7 Edge)
Yes, the Edge has a bigger screen and battery and the extra battery capacity seems to be "overkill" for the extra size of the screen, and it gives the Edge much better battery life than the regular S7.

      • -1

I have heard that people are able to use 256 GB Lexar cards, but the size of the cards gets partitioned down to 200 GB. You might have to do more reading. Don't take my word for it.

The edge has a bigger screen, edge feature (not that useful. It's good for shortcuts and notifications), larger battery (3600 mah compared to 3000 mah in the normal s7)

        • I thought 256GB cards are not really out yet (I can't remember whether it was just released or just announced), 256GB Lexar card as far as I know are SD card.

        • Thanks. It is mainly so i can carry around lots of photos/videos of my toddler haha. Always nice to be able to record more and rewatch some old stuff. It may be a little extreme though so perhaps a 200gb microsd is fine :p
What brand/sd card specs do you recommend i buy for the s7 then?

        • @Oversimplified:

It may have been a different brand. I can't remember.

        • @khdsl:

Everyone I know has a Sandisk 200 GB bought from Amazon for about $70-$80 USD.

        • @cDNA: The only brand that I know that produces 256GB microSD card is Samsung and they announced it 3 days ago.

          http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/samsung-evo-plus-256gb-…

        • @Oversimplified: oh wow nice to hear samsung are making one!

        • @khdsl:

          Are you sure that's microSD??

        • @cDNA: oops just an sd and not microsd!

        • @khdsl:

Get the 256 GB Samsung MicroSD when it comes out or Amazon is your best bet for the Sandisk one.

        • @cDNA: sounds great! Hopefully by then, there will be another awesome 20% ebay deal haha

    • Agree - I've been a big phone hopper over the last few years and this is the first phone that I will absolutely not be switching from (until the S8 Edge comes out next year of course!)

    • I used the S7 Edge last month during the Optus free month trial. I quite liked it but it still doesn't justify the ~$1000 price tag after discount. I agree that it has excellent battery life and display. The "always on display" feature was pretty cool.

      • I beg to differ.

It is unmatched with its curved design and features. The price is not an obstacle to a consumer who can afford it. You can't say it doesn't justify the price, because you don't know about the engineering behind this phone.

The fact that you bought it on a trial tells me it's a bit out of your price range.

    • +6

Nope, cant compare these from dicksmith as they are like the kogan ones which are grey imports. Made from different parts apparently and will not be covered under samsungs 24 month warranty in australia. Also, you risk getting one with a different chip. Australias stock has the octa core processor and some overseas ones from asia have the snapdragon chip. Octa core is a little better i've heard. Also cant claim TRS refund if youre travelling with a grey import.

      • Fair enough.

        • +1

And cant claim the $159 valued free gear vr.
Considering the free gear vr, the price doesn't make difference.

  • +1

still holding my wallet on this..waiting for it to dip below $900 lol

    • +2

around $900 for me with the addition of a TRS refund :)
      good timing

      • yea, would totally buy one now if I'm going oversea now. But gut feeling tells me EOFY will bring the price down even more..Already got 1+ & an unused Nexus…Not sure I need more phones atm anyway lol

  • I just want to give a heads up that last time Bing Lee gave a eBay sale, I was able to get a price match at JB HiFi for a Galaxy S6.

    • Anyone pricematch officeworks? Officeworks price beat!

      • +2

No price beat from Officeworks as the discount is obtained by using a coupon code.

    • +1

Anyone tried matching with JB Hifi for this S7 offer ?

  • -1

Yep i can claim back Gst, but still $900 for a samsung 7 edge that you will be lucky to get back $500 in a few months. Plus their crappy after sales if you have a problem.

  • -1

    Very expensive…

  • +1

When claiming trs is invoice from store at full value (not including 20% cash back). Can't remember from last sale

    • I'm also interested to find out. From the Peters of Kensington sale, I bought luggage and got an invoice for the full amount.

    • Technically you could but don't know if it's advisable.

    • +1

Yes invoice states full amount with high gst. It will not mention ebay at all so also wont mention the 20% discount. Another ozbargainer said so on the original 20% ebay deal post :)
Keep in mind that if you do trs for items over $1000 on the invoice, they will check your name and address too. If those details arent on the invoice then it will be rejected. Think that also means the invoice name must match the passport/name of traveller.
      Happy claiming!

      • It does mention the Ebay 20%. I picked up instore though.

        • Oh. I read a few other comments that it doesnt mention ebay. Must have changed things

        • @khdsl: yeh haha. I uploaded the receipt here. https://gyazo.com/ee41e507da0af9b038f36e126d514c17

        • @madn3ss: lucky for those who bought it early with the original rrp listed then! Sucks for anyone claiming trs lol.. wouldnt be surprised if they caught onto it by reading our comments

        • @khdsl: I still believe it will be accepted for TRS because it does say Bing lee on the really top (not in the pic)

        • +1

@madn3ss: i just had another look at your pic. It still says the higher gst and doesnt say the amount you actually paid. Win!

  • IS this pickup only? Or can i get it delivered?

    • Delivery is $9 extra (at least to Sydney it is)

  • -2

    wow $900+ for a phone

    • +1

      But its a 'smart' phone.

  • seems like a pretty popular deal. I hope Bing Lee have enough stock of the black.

anyone else here go for delivery?

    • $9 delivered in Sydney. Going to do pick up at my closest store. If youre getting the black S7, try get it from the good guys on ebay, bit cheaper even with delivery factored in

  • After the black s7 edge. Only pickup is Bowral! :P

    • Ohh just saw that there are only 3 left! Better get it delivered then!

  • -2

Cheaper at https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/samsung-galaxy-s7-32gb-black-sa… $849 + delivery., Get an extra 10% at checkout using TAKEOFF10

    • Kogan's is an international model. Refer to comments above about grey imports :)

  • so is there anyway to get S7 Edge silver for $999 delivered to Melbourne? Ive never used coupons through Ebay before, can't see when to enter the voucher

    • No. S7 edge would be $1008.20 due to the $9 delivery fee.
$999.20 is the pick up price in store

      • thats was i meant, forgot to calc the postage. cheers

    • You have to click Buy It Now, then enter the code COLLECT at the bottom where it says Redemption Code.

      • cheers mate

  • -3

When you think about it Sony 48" TV cost less than this then you probably reconsider buying.

Past experience suggest slow updates and poor support. I wouldn't touch one as I didn't feel it's justified for the price. If I was gonna pay that much I would pay for an Apple. I used android since HTC desire days back in 2009. So I'm not an Apple fanboi as such. Just an honest opinion. $500 is what I would pay for any Android phone.

Although I did a test drive the VR with S7 edge. It's pretty cool but don't think it's worth it.

    • Any person paying near $900 outright for a phone should be doing a salary sacrifice. In essence you are really only paying $600 after tax ( as the invoice states full amount and not discounted amount ).

      • -1

You might as well say claim it as tax deduction as well. $900 is too small amount for salary sacrifice, you would put in a car for that

        • +1

I don't think you quite understand how salary sacrificing a phone works

      • +1

I don't know why you got down-voted. But anyone not salary sacrificing their phones through work needs a better accountant if their work allows it.

  • All S7 Edge have been removed, no longer available. Damnit ozbargained. What are the chances they'll restock?

    • Spewing i didnt order the s7 last night, could have saved $20 before it went up in price again

      • If TGG don't remove the listing by then, it might drop in price again after 7 PM as part of their "After Dark Sale".

        • I did notice that last night, hoping it happens again and that my pay comes in soon too :)

  • Yeah bing lee just took off all the edge models off ebay, says temporarily sold out. Not sure if they will add more for sale. Good guys also upped their prices a little so the black s7 is now $910 and silver $919

  • Tried to buy a Galaxy S7 Edge, and pressed black/silver/gold, all have ended =( Is it just me ?

The normal S7 are still working though.

    • Not just you, all edges arent available anymore. Bing lee were the only store selling them. Maybe they will restock or create a new ad… keep checking

      • Ah crap, didn't read the few comments above mine lol sorry.

        • Haha all good. I understand the panic!

      • Binglee:
        Hi,
        Thank you for your enquiry.
Unfortunately this model is currently not available and disabled via our eBay store.
At this stage we are not advised when it will be relisted.
        Sorry about that.

  • i hope bing lee fulfill all the s7 edge orders.
i ordered early yesterday and no change in order status on eBay.

    • They must have saw my post.

      Item sent just then :)

      • Oh nice!!!

      • By the way you are very lucky you ordered before they took it off ebay :)

    • Picked mine up today which was really fast. Purchased late last night
