160

Part of Harvey Norman's 1-day sale.
Think it is the cheapest it has been. The other configurations are also on sale but this is probably best bang for your buck:
m3, 4gb RAM, 128gb hard drive: $999 after cash back http://www.harveynorman.com.au/hp-spectre-x2-a005tu-12-2-in-…
m5, 8gb RAM, 256gb hard drive: $1038 after cash back http://www.harveynorman.com.au/hp-spectre-x2-a002tu-12-2-in-…

  • Just picked up the m5/8GB model for $1375 before cashback from Harvey on Monday. Mmmm.

They say they have a price guarantee fir 7 days after purchase. Contact them now for some money back. Do it quick, only a few days left.

      • I searched before but couldn't find it on their page. I have to make sure they don't cancel the original invoice so the cashback claim isn't invalidated. I might give the store a call today.

If you paid on a credit card with price protection maybe look into it too.

Dropped by and they refunded the difference with no hassles!

        • Good news.

  • Are these any good for video editing?

  • +1

I went to their staff sale in caringbah and they put the price for M5 for $1600 even though the day before, their online price is around $1200. They won't even try to reduce it.

Good thing come to those who wait. Thanks seejay80.

  • Wow fantastic value when comparing with the Surface Pro 4.

Obvious spec differences but for the price, fantastic deal.

  • For m3 price, binglee has m5 with 8gb ram for the same price.

    • Link please

        https://www.binglee.com.au/hp-p7f63pa-spectre-x2-12-detachab… has it at $1099.

I'm not familiar with the cash back and whether the $1099 is before/after cash back.

        • +1

It is a pity that can't find it from their Ebay .

        • +1

The Binglee model only appears to have a 128gb hard drive vs 256gb in the Harvey Norman model. Think the extra storage space might be worth $39. But m7 model is probably best value.

        • @seejay80:
Yes, but for the same price, you got m5 and 8gb of ram for $1099 rather than m3 and 4g in harvey.

  • Is this powerful enough for video editing?

    • I'm not sure about video editing. If it requires good video card, may not be a good idea. The video card is not good. Google a review for it and there are many of them.

    • Nope.

    • It really depends on what kind of videos you want to edit, how often you'll be doing it, how patient you are, and what kind of video files you're working with.

  • Got an m7 today, cracking deal. The build quality is pretty awesome and saved hundreds over the equivalent Surface Pro.

  • Has anyone been able to get the M7/8/512 version from HN at the $1393 price … it's now around $1500

    • That price was for one day only.

      • Hmm … I know but sometimes HN are willing to go back to the price if they want to move stock, or if JB have a similar deal (ie. the 15% off) and they want to match … it's $200 more now than 2.5 weeks ago, and I'm thinking if they could have done it for that price back then … well, it's worth a crack now?

FWIW, i called 2 stores asking them to match the price from 21 May and they both sales guys said it was never priced at that … ah well…

        • You'd be doing well to get that price again, it was a ripper!

        • @pennypacker:

Yeah … apparently HP offered a spot rebate to HN for end of month target/sales, and it doesn't make sense to offer it now as ppl are going to buy due to EOFY sales, so consumers will most likely buy … I'm going to hold out until July/Aug and see what happens … need to return my work HP Spectre x360 … so thought the Spectre X2 is a nice replacement.
