  • nice TA.

There's also a spend $40 get $10 for BP petrol stations on my page, but clicking the save to card button doesn't seem to work for me. Anyone else having this problem.

    • Same issue here

    • Same here, but I think it may be related to the offer not having started yet, per the manual link…

  • Hmm combine Aussie Farmers deal with Cashrewards for an extra $20 back? Valid for new customers only.

Thanks, BCF added to card, Aussie Farmers Direct clicks but not working.
Unfortunately can't see the BP petrol stations offer.

  • No BP for me. :(

  • +3

Clicked Aussie farmers manual link above and got a message that the offer is not active yet.

    • Same. I went via the other link and entered my login details for my AMEX-issued card, but that didn't work either.

Just FYI the title is incorrect for Aussie Farmers, says $25 back when its $20.
    Thanks TA

BP offer is not Targeted, it's not started yet. It can be used up to three times on one card.

    • Thanks. Do you please have a manual link so I can add this to the post?

    • Any ideas when it's starting?

  • +3

Sorry mate I'm associated with BP just saw paperwork yesterday.

  • When the BP promotion started ?

  • Which $0 fee Amex card is better? Essentials, Virgin or Qantas?

    • depends on which FF program you want to use it for or how you spend

    • +1

I recently got the essentials for the shop small promo , will come in handy for this too. ozbargainers have referral links here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/american_express_referrals - you win , we win , when you apply

    • Here is my comment to another member who was asking the same question not that long ago. Hope you find it helpful.

  • Anyone else getting "Unfortunately, the offer is not active at the moment. Please check the offer start and end dates." for Aussie Farmers Direct?

  • BP gift cards for the people who don't drive much and have multiple amexs

Or Opal Card top up for those in Sydney

      • bp topup opal?

        • Yep. Not sure if all of them do but I know at least some of them do. Have done it at two different BPs myself.

Didn't know BP sell gift cards?

      Any idea for which stores?

      • +2

        BP ones

      • Apparently all stores with a Wild Bean cafe are corporate stores (not franchises) whereas all others are individually owned.

Not a BPs sell BP gift cards. Aside from generic iTunes cards, one BP near me does sell JB gift cards in $20,$50, $100 quantities from memory. Not sure if you can split payment.

Ive been told (by attendant) best to try the corporate stores, as their range is likely much bigger. None nearby my house though.

Ive just opted to go BP ultimate for 6 weeks, seems to be easier. Even though people have been bagging out higher BP prices/no discount program, it's a 25% discount - which in the last week has been about 40c/L ($1.60/L less 25%)… At $1.20/L for the best fuel I know of… Thats a sweet deal. This happens to be the same price as independent E10 fuel nearby.

        • Where are you based? I filled up normal fuel @$1.229/l on Friday. It was even cheaper than the Shell, with the 4c/litre discount @$1.249/l

        • @bluedufflecoat: Brisbane south

I have tried buying a gift card at BP on a previous amex credit. When I pulled out my amex though, the attendant would only allow eftpos or cash.

    Following for opal recharges/bp fuel

  • +1

To buy BP Gift Cards go to Connect sites most likely they have Wild Bean Cafe, they can't challenge you on paying with credit card.

    • The one I went to was a BP connect with the wild bean Cafe. And the guy refused to accept amex for gift card. I'll try again though this time.

If it doesn't work, I'll just get mobile recharges. They will probably work

      • pay with cash or other card. then can report them to amex about amex refuse and get credit back? like shop small. right?

  • I can see the BCF one in my Offers tab now, but still no Aussie Farmers and BP.

  • Cant buy gift cards at BCF as looks like transfers to 3rd party that doesn't accept Amex?

Recent update:- BP offer will be activated tomorrow. All the card holders who are registered should receive email from American Express. Thanks.

    • How do you register? Is there a manual link?

  • Nothing so far sorry.. If any thing comes up will update..

    • It is now available (3x per card)

I just did some quick calculations

Cheapest BP in Perth Today for 95 - (Ballajura) $1.309

Cheapest Caltex Woolworths in Perth today for 95 with fuel docket and 5.5% cahsrewards >> $1.226 ($112.077)
@ Greenwood, Mirrabooka, South lake, Warnbro Fair.

      1.309-1.12077 = Losing $0.18823 per litre @ BP

      $40(min spend)/1.309 = 30.56 L = $5.75 more expensive compared to Woolworths (So $4.25 saving with $10 credit)

Purchase more than 53L @ BP and you are losing money even with the $10 Credit

TLDR only spend the $40 minimum.

      • Probably will try buying gift cards for buying petrol in the future
