Bought one second hand for $135 a month ago :(

Whoever buys one, note that you need to get the Xbox One Wireless USB dongle for it to work wirelessly as its not included (which i didnt know)

    • +8

That'd only be if you wanted to use it with a Windows PC, not Xbox wouldn't it?

      • +3

Yeah, definitely don't need an additional dongle for it to work with the XB1.

      • Sorry, that is correct. Only if you want to use it with PC.
Will work with XBone without it

  • Wow 3 left lol getting OzBargained fast

    • There were >10 left when I posted.. honest ;)

I guess that's the 16 sold in the last hour.

      • +1

Yeah I know they were, I clicked through early on, had to fix your calculation :P

  • Looking for Microsoft's Xbox One Wireless controller with plug & play charge. The cheapest i can find is $80.

MORE IN STOCK. Just ordered. Thanks OP

  • thank heavens for that quick restock ordered myself and my brother one

  • Wish these guys would throw Overwatch up there too!

  • Wish they did not charge postage kills any deal on xbox one games.
Anyone seen any good deals on Xbox games using this deal?

  • +2

I had ordered a Nexus 6P from Kogan (via eBay) in something like this where it got OzBargained a little while ago. Kogan cancelled the order due to "insufficient stock" and I got a refund at full RRP (even though I only paid RRP - 20%), so if they can't supply the required stock, there's always that.

    • U sure eBay didn't get their cut back? Similar thing happened to me and eBay got their share back. Its probably 2 separate transactions

      • I got the full amount into my Paypal account (~$940) even though the purchase price was only ~$750

        • +1

IF this is anything like the Target 25% off sale from last year, then in these sales the retailer gets the full amount and ebay/paypal cover the difference. So if the retailer refunds you directly, they will refund the full amount, as that's what they receive. I had to return something from that Target sale in store and they gave me the full price back, which was more than I actually paid.

Been using mine for the last few months, for both PC and Xbox. Best controller I've used in 20+ years of gaming.

    • I read reviewse but what makes it so good in comparison to the original xbox controller? Have you used the ps4 controller? I find that to be the best controller I've used so far

      • +1

Oops got halfway through replying to you last night but got distracted!

The thing is built like a tank. A sexy, sexy highly functional tank. The build quality is apparent as soon as you touch the thing. Compared to the standard X1 controller you have a number of accessories (3 sets of interchangeable analogue sticks, 2 dpads, four rear paddles). There are also toggles for two different trigger travel distances. And a really long braided USB cable. So lots of options to customise how you use it. Also all of the buttons just feel better to use - more responsive. The patterned rubberised grips also have a great feel over the standard hard plastic shell. Overall there were clearly tighter manufacturing tolerances than the standard controller. I love it.

Versus the DualShock 4 - it's a bit harder to compare I suppose as it's very subjective. The DS4 (which I've only been using for about 3 weeks) is a great controller - MILES ahead of the previous PS controllers. It's really nice to use - I'm surprised how much I like it considering how much I disliked the DS3 (those convex L2/R2 are one of the biggest design flaws since the joke of a controller for the Original Xbox that was "THE DUKE".). I personally prefer the Xbox layout to the PS layout - though, like I said, this is a subjective thing. The triggers are definitely still better/more satisfying on both the standard and elite Xbox controllers vs. the little… nubs (a bit harsh) that the DS4 uses.

Another major benefit for Xbox controllers in general is that most PC games use the Xbox controller as standard, and tend to work with it better by default. I've never had to stuff around in external programs like Xpadder to get my Xbox 360/One controllers to work.

        My ranking:

        1. Xbox One Elite
        2. Xbox One
        3. Xbox 360
        4. DualShock 4
        5. GameCube
        • Great review. Okay I get it. It's built and feels quality, especially the replaceable magnetic controls

Whilst I like the xbone controller I really prefer the ps4 better be to layout and the touch pad. Makes game inventory selection so much better.

          Thanks for the explanation

        • how modifiable is the elite? like how mmany buttons and things can u move to the left-hand side? sorry, i have really bad tendonitis in one hand so i would like to move buttons and analog and everything that is possible to the left hand, so im wondering if u could answer that at all? Cheers !

        • +1

@Iggemo: Unforunately the only extra buttons you can have for the left hand would be two paddles on the bottom.

  • Thanks, been wanting one of these for ages!

  • Looks like it's gone… again.

I know the deal is over and everything, and at risk of sounding like an old man may I ask -

How in the hell does a controller cost half what an actual console costs??

Again, I realise I'm out of touch. Can someone explain it though?

    • The regular one is already $90 (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/games-consoles/platforms/controlle…) so this is only about another 50% more at the discounted price. The general impression is that it's a lot more configurable and a lot better build than the regular one. Maybe similar to comparing something Pro-level to entry-level? It depends on how much you play and how much expendable cash you have (or can justify).

This looks like a pretty good unboxing/review video from the IGN guys: https://youtu.be/Lo-pNSY5lTY

      • +1

Wow yeah. Thanks though, appreciate the explanation :)

I have this goal of one day having the time to game. Seeing a $150 controller is pretty off-putting though >_<

        (or can justify).

        WAF

    • It's also a freaking great piece of hardware.
One of the best from MS ever IMHO.

  • Looking for a Official Wii-U Pro Controller. Anyone got any pointers to Bargains? Cheers.

    • Me too

  • $200 for a controller ?

    • Its a good one.

  • Highly recommend a Steam Controller over this thing for PC.

    • lol

    • Good joke, mate!

      • What's the funny part?

  • anyone know how to use this on a ps4?

    back in stock

    • Good spotting. Mine arrived yesterday so shipping to Geelong, VIC was ~5 days including weekend.

    • Got one!.. Thanks.

    • +1

Yep! Been checking every day for a restock.
Best thing though, it's my birthday today!
      Was a good present :)

  • Second time I've bought one with no real need. Maybe I'll keep it this time though haha

  • +1

They are back in stock again. Think they might have 10-15 seeing as it says 81% sold as it currently stands

    • Thanks. Glad I checked this post again, before the end of the sale.

  • Mine arrived today - Left bumper does not click at all and there are scratches on the face of it.

    Back it goes :/

    • This is really poor from MA. Both numbers listed on the parcel are disconnected and they are yet to respond to my simple email of asking for an address to send it back to.

Ordered heaps from them over the years but looks like that is over now.
