Nah. It has a standard 1/4 inch thread screw on the top. Camera screws on to that directly.

i bought one and it broke at the tripod screw. wobbly and so flimsy, and it's job is basically stability.
Obviously a design fault putting a tripod screw on a monopod…..
ok dudes, I admit that I have the wrong term. I'm just giving fair warning that the screw you use to mount a head on it is weak, it came broken and wobbly for me and I intend to get a refund on mine when I show it to the store I bought it from (Digital Camera Warehouse)

Tripods have 3 legs, this only has 1. Ergo, he used the wrong screw.
