The Good Guys are selling the prepaid Next G Turbo modems for $129.00 with a bonus antenna valued at $39.95.
This is pretty good value with the bonus antenna with the 3.6 version of the card being only $99.00.

Pretty sure the bonus 1Gb of start-up internet still applies to this offer.

NOTE: This card will not work for BigPond wireless, but can be used for Telstra Business plans.

    I wish they were unbranded.

    I don't want to be seen using Telstra — that would be social suicide.

    Dunno much about the nextG 7.2 ones. The previous generation ones.. they were on sale for $10-$15… But the best bit is that you can unlock those for free.

    The advantage of Telstra branded wireless Internet devices is that they work on 2100 and 850 bands (some of them are tri-band or even quad band 3G). So, you could use 2100 most of the time (non-Telstra SIM)… but when you really need Internet access and you are in an area with really poor reception or remote area, you can still use a Telstra SIM and get it to work (maybe a Prepaid Telstra).

    Just about all the previous gen. 3.5G Telstra ones can be upgraded to 7.2.

    Note though.. one exception, if you are a Mac user, previous gen. Telstra USB devices may not have the driver for OSX 10.6.
