  • I've been looking at these this week. Is the i5 worth the extra cash? I think I'll get this one - just need it for office and Internet

Or maybe this one with the 5th gen i5 and 4gb of ram (instead of 8GB)
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Asus-Zenbook-UX305LA-13-3-FHD-Int…

    • From what I can see the i5 looks like double TDP @ 15W (more power drain) but benchmarks about 3500 as opposed to 3000 on the M3, (still around 1/2 the score of my 4yo desktop)
What is more important battery or grunt?

      • Battery I reckon - thanks. I wish i knew more about this stuff

  • Does anyone know if this comes with FHD or QHD?

  • Anyone know how hard it would be to swap out the SSD in this?

    • Not too hard, just make sure the replacement is a SATA M.2 drive, not a PCIE M.2

      • Thanks CartoonHead, didn't realise it was an M.2 drive.

Looking to replace my 4 old Acer S3 but everything seems so expensive considering I got it for $339 from this deal many years ago - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/73762

Maybe old Gerry will have another similar end of financial year sale soon.

        • Yeah this nearly ticks all my boxes, would have loved it to be charged by USB-C.
