I buy the WPC. I've tried Salted Caramel and Chocolate so far, both pretty decent tasting. Mixes fairly well too in milk or water, though not as good as Optimal Nutrition obviously.

You'll eventually get sick of the chemical-like tastes of their flavouring. Stick to the raw, unflavoured protein powders. Mix a banana or cocoa powder in there and it tastes way better than their flavouring.
I think it's more personal preference. I been using BN on and off for years and don't mind their flavoring. Venom Protein have the worst flavoring IMO.

As much as I like their products, I agree. Their products taste a lot more chemical-like then Quest for example.

Um … yuck? What are you using for sweetness? I can hardly concieve of that tasting better than BN chocolate flavouring …
You can combine it with the banana for sweetness. Otherwise use a sweetener of your choice. I've used instant coffee before too. Honestly, drinking it unflavoured is fine though. Very drinkable for me.
yeh I found the vanilla a bit sweet, if I add a banana and some soy milk its kinda like drinking icecream
How do you deal with the chalky texture for the unflavoured powders? I tried adding a few bananas and some blueberries but it still tasted horrendous!

I have tried WPC and unfortunately it gave me the runs. With WPI I don't get that issue. Also their Protein Matrix range is alright as they add a lactase enzyme to help with that issue.
Yep some of my mates also have digestive issues with WPC but WPI works well. If you have issues with lactose in dairy you can also buy lactase enzyme tablets.

ON Gold Standard: extreme milk choc, banana creme and delicious strawberry are my favourites, and have at least two at a time in my rotation. I'm a 'put way more teaspoons of Quik in my milk than recommended' sort of person though.
I like the BN coffee flavour out of all of BN flavours, and WPI or WPC is no difference for me.
Do you know which ON gold is more like dark chocolate flavour? chocolate malt or double rich chocolate? thanks in advance.
I've had double rich choc, not choc malt. At a guess I'd say neither, which is probably not what you're looking for. I'd be interested in trying a protein that had that sort of intensity of flavour though, sounds delicious. :)
The protein matrix is really good.
I loved the protein matrix, and I thought it was good value for money, until another bulk nutrients thread on ozbargain, someone worked out that the price/value was better on WPC than protein matrix. I think 1kg was cheaper overall for protein matrix but anything over 1kg wpc was better for the 'bang for your buck'. can't remember which bulk nutrient thread exactly but it was worked out. so if you going for price WPC is better value, of course if u take other factors like flavouring, tolerances etc then the choice would change
Protein matrix is more expensive on purpose. It's a combination of both WPI & WPC and free of lactose for those with dairy problems.
I've also been through this calculation, being a fat bastard I need a high protein diet to keep satiated so I go through over 30kgs of this stuff per year along with my wife.
I order 15kgs at a time of WPC, use the 5% discount code MEGSY (spewing I didn't see this 10% until too late!)

Damn! I bought 5x1kg WPC bags all different flavours. I rate the Choc Honeycomb flavour a lot! The rest are pretty okay tasting. Good to have a nutribullet or something similar on hand to get mix it because it can get pretty clumpy compared to other whey proteins I've come across.

Thanks just ordered $120 worth of stims/mental support and meal replacements/snacks. So great to finally have a BN coupon that covers the whole store. I still reckon their flavours are better than anything I have tried (BSN Syntha 6, ON, Max's etc…)

I've just been using 5-HTP capsules before bed, I just wake up feeling 100% and also Cognitone for when I need a boost during the day or before completing a complex task that requires complete concentration.
Basically I just use them to boost my mood and concentration on them off days.
Whilst we're talking mental support, I just got some of bulk nutrients aniracetam for those anxious days and it works really well.
Have also had success with their noopept, 5-htp and good old ZMA for sleepy time dreams and faster recovery from tough workouts.
