  • what kind of restrictions apply?

    • It's listed at the bottom of the voucher.

      • doh! lol thanks!

  • its too bad it doesn't include Cotton On Body, but still a good bargain!

  • is anything there worth buying? any recommendations? ive heard a lot of it is pretty average quality..

    • Considering most things are $20 - $40 originally, there should be something interesting for $10-$20. Some stores also have sales now with $2 singlets and tank tops.

    • Simple pieces are usually fine, but, some of them are astonishingly disposable — buttons fall off within a day, seams unseemly within a week. My rule of thumb for Cotton On is that if it looks at all complex or precarious, then it will fall apart very soon.

Of course, you can always return it — these days I just expect to alter it (think of it like those partially baked bread rolls.)

    • Gym clothes, home clothes and basics. Decent clothes to do the layered look with (what girls do during the cold season.)

  • Can it be used at Cotton On Kids ???

    • Looks like just Adults and Rubi.

  • yeah only have nice stuffs to wear to the gym / at home.
their shirts have really weird fits, maybe because i got mine at homebush DFO.
lol @ the pics, was excited when i saw the leather jacket and the shoes but i don't think they have nothing to do with the brand cotton on =/

    • Haha, of course the pics shows stuff that's actually available to buy.

  • Able to use same voucher? Just asking due to barcode on voucher.

    • My guess is it would just be a general barcode to let the 50% off go through the system.

      • Yeah, previous promos (30% off) have just had the one standard barcode, so I'm sure this would be the same.

  • Printed 2 for my sisters ;D cheers

I used to buy some $2-$5 tees and singlets at cotton on DFO but they are very cheap quality. The tees look horrible after the first wash however they are comfortably cotton. But they are not worth the RRP or even 50% off.

    • What really do you expect from $5 Tees ?

      • exactly I love them buy heaps and just swap them for the days at uni. Cheap and easy. As for washing my clothes never go bad

Cotton on stuff is the worst quality i have ever seen. It really is junk.

  • Any nice jackets? Leather perhaps?

    • Yes, There are leather jackets. Just went to Cotton on at Greenwood plaza, north Sydney. Didn't buy anything. Most of them were very low quality. There are tees for $10..on sale.

  • they have very cute underwear for chicks =)

I work at Factorie which is pretty much a sister store to cotton on (both owned by cotton on and the quality of the t-shirts really aren't that great. For the price you're paying though you should be able to get a few good wears out of them. As someone mentioned, very good for layering. The shirts and jackets are pretty decent quality though. Factorie sells leather jackets for $100 so I'm assuming Cotton On also has these.

You should be able to tell if the t-shirt is crap or not by feeling the material. The lighter it is, the faster it's going to lose its shape.

  • Oh and be weary of size. Make sure you try everything on because there is no consistency in the sizes what-so-ever. I fit into an XL at Kmart/Target yet at Cotton On often an XXL won't be even close to fitting me.

  • I love Cotton On singlets for the gym. They're a great fit, and because they're cheap, you don't mind getting them gross and sweaty, and the flimsy fabric actually works to your advantage in that regard.

The better quality singlet tops they do there are surprisingly cute cuts (I find them to be much more flattering than places like Supre).

So yeay, it's true that they're cheap, and not great quality, but I just buy replacements as needed. I still get good wear out of them.

    I'm a fan!!

    • Oh yeah, and worth adding is that they do often stock their versions of the latest "fashion" items, that you know won't last very long… The kinda things that will probably only look cool for a month or two before you get over it.

So in that regard, i think it's much better to buy their stuff for a better price, despite the lower quality. I'm talking crap like harem pants (ok, I still think they're ugly), and those drapey tank tops (I know they're ugly, but I can't help thinking they'll look super cute with tight pants).

  • SRS is probably one tier below cotton on in terms of quality.

Their stuff is really cheap and nasty.

  • Can some one please confirm. It seems you are able to buy just one item.

From the way the the conditions are mention … only voucher redemption per person …

…. one coupon offer per transaction..

Has anyone taken up the offer.

    • A transaction doesn't necessarily mean one item? It would mean one whole transaction, can be multiple items I'm sure.

      • Yes, I purchased multiple items on one voucher today in Sydney. Quite a few others using the voucher instore also.

  • i have tested this at lunch at the cotton on george street store (the one next to dick smith and QVB) and can confirm that it is working fine! the cashier also asked me why i am only buying one jacket as it applies to everything, which means can have multiple items for discount

  • are the stuff cheaper at DFO/HABOURTOWN than normal COTTON on outlets?

    • DFO gets sent a lot of sale stock which is generally 50% off and over. However, these are usually old stock. So it would probably be cheaper, but it's all old stuff and also less range.

  • So you can buy as many items as you want in one purchase, then hand over the voucher? Or can you only spend the voucher on one item? How did you guys print out the voucher, like how big? Full A4 sized or smaller?

    • As long as the items are from Cotton On Adults and Rubi (not Body or Kids) and not sale items. Also, if you want tanks that are usually 2 for $20 or $12.95 for one, to get them for like $6.50 each you'll just have to put the items through separate transactions, but staff should be more than okay with that.

  • Bought 2 tops as part of the 2 for $20 deal. The system automatically deducts 50% then took off $5.90 after that for the 2 top deal. So only paid $4.10 for 2 tops!

    • Serious? I just assumed it wouldn't when I was looking at the 2 for $30 :p

    • Lol, really? Must have been a newbie because it should either be the 2 for $20 promotion or the 50% off voucher.

  • +3

went to liverpool store today, no singlets for gym ah well, gave the voucher to somebody who seemed to be buying alot, their eyes widened when they saw 50% hehe

  • asked the girl to either ring up the full price for each item then deduct the 50% off for the 2 for $30, or do separate transactions and she said no, so i said then i'll leave it all.
