If you think is the washing machine then you'd do better to fix the source of the interference rather than trying to address a symptom. Can you buy a new filter… https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wQ86_q8Jees

    • Only happen when the washing machine running the drying cycle.

According to TPLink FAQ, put the surge protector will help and this one even have EMI noise filtration. So I assume it may help.

"EMI/RFI Noise filtration: 150kHz - 100Mhz up to 43dB. Electromagnetic interference/radio frequency interference causes AC line contamination that leads to computer lockups, audio/video interference and data loss."

I picked up a few when they were 2 for $15 inc del…

I can confirm they almost completely eliminate line noise.

    • Mine doesn't look like a bargain anymore.

  • Got a dual outlet one for $4 when Dickie was closing. Just don't bother to connect aerial cable to it. It doesn't really help with TV reception.

They are not designed to help with TV reception just protect against surges coming through the antenna cables.

      • I have an indoor antenna so do I still need to plug in to make any difference?

  • I bought two of these previously to try and filter noise from my treadmill. Was causing my ADSL modem to drop out and not connect again. Unfortunately didn't help at all despite putting one on the treadmill side and other at the modem end. Had to buy a new modem which still drops out but at least reconnects itself albeit at a very low speed

    • Try a UPS, that should filter the noise caused by the treadmill

    • How can this surge protector caused problem to the phone line signal?

I think your dropping out more because of the quality of the phone line.

      • The surge protector doesn't cause the drop out - the treadmill does. The surge protector doesn't do enough to filter the interference that is probably being induced back to my power points in other areas of the house.

      • Go back and read the filetering. It does near zero filtering at the frequencies that might cause your problem - well below 150 Khz.

Protector and UPS does not claim to address many possible reasons for your noise. That is noise - probably single digit volts. That protector does nothing until voltage well exceeds 500 volts. Numbers say what does and does not claim to work.

However a protector does have capacitance. If a protector does reduce noise, then a 50 cent capacitor on (inside) a noise generator would have solved it.

Protector can also bypass noise protection inside a computer or DSL modem. To get a useful answer starts with describing all relevant components. That even includes every wire inside walls, a safety ground inside a power panel, and maybe earth ground.

  • Was going to get one but changed my mind after reading the review/feedback about "Belkin Connected Equipment Warranty is a SCAM" at the bottom of the ebay page.

  • Found out that the washing machine actually affected my TV antenna signal more than my EOP.

Sometime seem better with the protector sometime didn't.

    Any suggestion?

    • Turn off the washing machine while you are watching tv.
