Google Chromecast 2 Video - $48 @ Harvey Norman & OfficeWorks

230

Thanks to TheEarth @ BuckScoop for the heads up on this! I decided to go 1 further and check if OW have dropped their price yet… they haven't, but get in quick if you want the price-beat price!

Chromecast Audio is also $48, but OW don't sell it

Edit - OfficeWorks have dropped their price to $48 now

You had your chance back in March… sure, you would've had to buy something else to get it shipped free, but you had your chance…

nope… postage made it too expensive…

  • Ive been having issues with the original Chromecast failing to cast from Chrome to the TV when using a Mac. It sees the device but times out when trying to connect. I attempt it about 10 times before it finally casts. Anyone know if this issue is something common but improved with the new device?

    • My Chromecast One works without fault casting from my macbook, iphone 6S or iPad 2 to my Samsung TV.

FFS, I bought my mother in law one yesterday price matching the $55 at Officeworks at Harvey Norman.

If it makes you feel any better, I wasted $10 yesterday on some pretty average sushi.

      • I know the feels man :(

  • For those that just want the gen 1 Chromecast it is currently $38. OW is the same, so no price beat.

  • I am still holding out hopes for another deal like the $24 gen 1 deal at OW.

  • my chrome cast 1 is not turn on any more. does any one here claim warranty before? thanks

  • Was glad to pick this up during the Click20 sale for $44 :) Am very happy with the product. Was using the original in the tv room and decided to chuck this one in my room. Unless you're on the nbn network and utilise the 5ghz network not worth the upgrade imo.

  • I got two chromecast gen 1. They are both having the same issue of losing ability to control (pause, play video) after a while. This happens to Youtube and Viki which are two apps that I use most.

Anyone is experiencing this issue in gen1 and gen2?

  • I grabbed 1x of each - i've been after a decent audio networker for my stereo systems. I have a cheap and cheerful bluetooth connector that plugs into the ipod dock currently but that only works as far as the kitchen and then loses connection.
