I just bought this Wednesday night, arrived today. Now if only my installation kit from the UK would move that fast.
For anyone looking for reviews i believe the avh-4200nex is the US equivalent.
Looks good though, especially for the price.
Kicking myself over this. Forgot about the 20% off deal. Bought a Kenwood DDX6016BT for $485 elsewhere, would of been $428 with Ryda, and $478 for the DDX7016BT.
I almost bought my own elsewhere, I searched the ebay link that included all the shops and couldn't find any proper head units. It wasn't until I searched specifically that I found it.
Bought this the other day, Have it installed now and it works great love it
I take it you guys are using these in older cars? Modern cars seem to have the stereo, a/c, and other car related things all integrated. Otherwise I would have loved something like this, instead of the crappy built in things that car manufacturers tout "look, we support Mp3!".
A lot of newer cars have a full modified fascia kit available from Amazon or eBay. Simples.
Even then you can always get a Changer Module for like ~100 on ebay, Connects to back of most old cars CD players.. Wont ruin the look of your old car.
How well does the carplay work on these? I don't want a laggy interface and have only used the factory VW one which is seamless.
Does this work with subaru's steering wheel control? or does it need additional components for it to work?
It needs additional component (like any other car)
