          first of all it took forever to get a reply. then it was the same back and forth messages (same as our pm's). which made me tired and i ended up smahing the phone.

          I mentioned what i did with the phone couple of posts before, you told me to PM you then your asking if i sent the phone back. I don't know if your actually reading any of the comments.

          It looks like your just replying the same simple message " PM me your order Number". This is not fixing the problem.

          Either way, if ever buying keep up the same service i'm sure your place in ozbargain will soon be extinct.

          I have to say that i ordered one from the last deal and it didn't arrive. When i was told to msg the rep here, she did respond and re-sent the camera and i got it in about 3 weeks after that.
          I was told they will reship it for free only because i am a "valued ozbargain customer" otherwise there would be a reshipment fee.

          I think this site generates a fair bit of traffic and sales for them and it helps with them deciding not to stuff ozbargainers around too much and they try to solve problems for people here.

          I am yet to check the video from these. If i like it, i'll likely get another one for this price. Paypal is our friend in worst case scenario.

        If the price is fair, I would totally do that. All I want from from dashcam is the ability to identify people who scratched or dented your door from parking too close to you while opening door or identify car thief who broke into car. Other than that, I think it's just a hyped up device with no real practical use. I mean how many you gonna use the footage in day to day scenario. If you happen to record an accident happened in front of you, chances are you probably rear ended someone, and 99% it will be your fault regardless if there's any video evidence.

          Maybe paint protection is the way to go for you? What do you think the odds are that if you happen to catch the image of a person that did it that you are then going to catch that person. Unless you get a number plate then the police will file your pic to the trash.

    I bought this camera over 3 years ago. Since the day I bought it, is sitting on my windscreen just like in this image (bottom left).

    It is permanently mounted to the car and fed through a USB power cable that was cramped between the upholstery and the roof, all the way cramped between the door rubber frame, under the passenger mat and into the plug.

    Very happy with it. No problems.

    Bought dashcam from these guys on a previous deal. Never arrived. Lodged paypal dispute, but they dragged out the dispute until the last possible moment. Luckily ended up getting refund from paypal.

    Some weird experiences in the comments, I've bought like 3 or 4 sets of earphones from this website before and granted they can take up to a month to arrive but I've received all of them. I guess main lesson is to always use paypal if any doubts.

    I have a dashcam app installed on my phone which is doing a good job. Now, what this dashcam is doing better than my phone? My phone has much better specs and pretty much does all of these, only better. Also runs in the background so I can use navigator and other stuff.
    Only looking for an app that can record using both rear and front cameras, at the same time.
    Am I missing something here?

      Had a friend using Dashcam in Taxi, very frequent use, he actually has to replace the memory card after 6 month.
      It does wear our your flash, which could be an issue in the phone.

      One of the biggest problems is just how hot the phone will get in the summer.
      I used to use my phone for GPS mounted to the windscreen but it would massively overheat and shutdown when it has hot. Now I use it mounted to an air vent for cooling and shade from the sun.

      The A118C in particular is very discreet and can easily be left mounted permanently without attracting unwanted attention. Because of this it will always be recording and you will never miss an accident because you forgot.
      This cam also has a very wide angle lens which is good for capturing more of what is happening around you.

      None of these is an issue, So the lesson here is; do not waste your hard earned money for some jokes some call business! They even negged my legitimate comment which means I am 100% correct! My dashcam app even uploads the photos so I can see what is happening around the car, even if the phone runs out of memory or something that never happens.
      So, Go to google play, search for dashcam, blackbox, navigator, OBD2 checker, weather station, music player, radio, e-wallet or whatever device you might think of that your flagship phone can run, install a few of them, test them against their capabilities, spyware, permissions, developer's home country, price,… and then keep the best one, thank me later.

    Just like a few others, I never received mine(A118C) from the last deal posted by Monty. Contacted Monty (was helpful) and Everbuying support(not so much). Waited 30 days and was told that I need to wait another 30 days. 60 days in total. Paid with Paypal and I should have disputed to get my money back but I was in no rush as I purchased the G1WCBs previously and they arrived quickly so I have faith in them..which is slowly diminishing as they told me I need to wait another 7-10Business days (2 weeks) for them to check and who knows how much longer I need to wait.

    Monty, you may remember me from my PM and posts on your last A118C deal.

          To be fair here… you need to realise that there's a possibility that the dashcam was seized by customs (for god knows what reason… it can happen) and so he/she never received their dashcam.

          It's true they like telling you to wait, but give them some time and I'm sure they'll pull through with a solution. If they don't, it's not hard to call them out here for support.

          I've personally bought a large number of dashcams from them, and they've all arrived between 14 - 30 days. It's great to have Becky here to liaise with EB, and we shouldn't bash her for the hard work she does for Ozbargain.

          That's my 2cents, at the end of the day, these are all distributors from China and there are many more stores like this around. Just take your pick, and build a good relationship with them and they'll look after you.

Numerous escalation, emails to them is just a waste of time. Paypal transaction was paid to person named "Nelson".Are these frauds ?

      I was also given an alleged tracking number that stopped in Sydney (I am in Preth). I recommend that you lodge a dispute through paypal rather than trying to deal with the seller directly.

    It seems this version of the A118C does not come with the GPS sensor which is needed to record the car's speed into the mp4 metadata, which would be invaluable in the case of disputed incidents (who was speeding?) or disputing speeding tickets. Also no rear facing camera means any car park incidents or reversing incidents could be missed.

      I'm not sure if the RMS would accept your gps data as "evidence" of not speeding..

        Yeah it seems the police would reject it, which I suppose is fair enough if it hasn't been professionally certified for accuracy. If push comes to shove then you could use land marks from the video to calculate speed. Might just get 2 of these and mount one to the rear window. Just need to get a longer cable through to the front and a double adaptor for the cigarette lighter. I want a rear facing one cause I've had a few near misses recently with drivers reversing into me in car parks. It's happened twice in the last month where I start reversing and am half way out when the driver opposite starts backing out and doesn't see me.

    I ordered an A118C from Everbuying from May. No complaints about the product or shipping time, but I started receiving spam from them. Fair enough, that happens with online stores, I'll just unsubscribe.

    So I unsubscribe and either their unsubscribe page is broken or it just gets ignored because I'm still receiving the spam. In fact, every time I load the unsubscribe page after trying to unsubscribe, it shows that I'm still subscribed.

    Having dealt with a number of Chinese websites, I am very impressed at how much better everbuying is (especially when you are an ozbargainer).

    I got the A118C delivered within about 2.5 weeks (I am based in Melbourne). It worked fine for a couple of days before crapping itself (a defective product). I raised the problem with Becky through ozbargain, who then asked me to try a couple of things to fix it (factory reset, reload factory software).
    None of those things work, but I am impressed at how quickly she then organised the refund.
