Yeah I don't know this exact drive, you might have to force it open and break the case. I did with my one. Then the hard drive sitting inside this will just be a normal laptop hard drive. Make sure to clone (not just copy) your current laptop drive onto this one before you start tearing it apart, then you can use your old hard drive with this external hardware for a backup or whatever. Google will have tons of info

They replaced the deal with 1TB Orica Hard drives for $50 (down from $99)
it is sold out so this deal should be made expired
