Just noticed that the HCF offer which was originally only visible to Amex issued cards is now visible on Amex Connect for bank issued cards as well:

Any luck anyone? I've saved the offer to my card, but there isn't the usual email notification.
Note: I'm not currently with HCF yet, but considering switching.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Save the offer to your eligible Card by 7/7/16 and spend 3 times on that Card, in-branch at HCF or online at hcf.com.au by 31/10/16 to receive a $100 credit. Limited to the first 7,500 Cards to register.
  • Offer is limited to one credit per registered Card. Only spend on the Card number you register counts towards the Offer.
  • Excludes transactions where you do not spend directly at HCF. For example purchases made through a third party payment processor like PayPal.
  • Offer valid at Australian locations and website only.
  • Offer only applies to HCF Health Insurance.
  • Purchases made at HCF Dental Centres or HCF Eyecare Centres, or on HCF Pet Insurance, HCF Life and HCF Travel are excluded.
  • Credit is not redeemable for cash or other payment form.
  • Credit should appear on your billing statement within 5 business days from qualifying spend but may take up to 90 days from offer end date.
  • Credit will not be applied to your Card Account if it has been suspended or cancelled.
  • Credit may be reversed if your qualifying purchase is refunded or cancelled.

        I dont think you can BPay from AmEx - if you do bpay from bank issued amex, it usually goes from Visa / MC attached to the same account.

    I'm with HCF already so will automatically get billed more than 3 times by the end of October.

    I'm just wondering what do other people pay for Health Insurance.

    We pay $231 pm for Hospital cover and GENERAL EXTRAS PLUS for my family. I'm seriously think about cancelling the cover and just self insuring my family.

      I was on general extras plus before as well, just switched to Gold plus, a bit more expensive but with significantly more things covered (major dental was what i looked at) I switched to basic hospital with accident cover, about 1690 after rebate. if you are not looking to get root canal or major dental in the near future then switch down to silver or silver plus? the only good thing with the old general extras is that it covered root canal somewhat.

        Well, basically we're keeping the cover because we have young kids and you don't know what dental work they require until they are teenagers.

        Then again $3,000 p.a. over 10 years could pay for a lot of dental work!
