StreamJack TV - Lifetime Subscription - 96% off - US $29 (~AU $38.38) Update: Not Working with Netflix

40

I found this deal for a SmartDNS to help stream Netflix USA (and others).
I haven't tried yet but has a 15 day money-back guarantee and provides Australian DNS servers, also offers a lifetime VPN service at the checkout page.

StreamJack TV - Lifetime Subscription
Normally USD $49.99/annually or USD $4.99/monthly
http://streamjack.tv/lifetime/

Same organisation as IPinator
Offering a lifetime VPN & SmartDNS bundle for USD $59 at http://ipinator.com/

UPDATE: Now purchased & tried - DOES NOT WORK with NETFLIX USA or Hulu. Time to use their money-back guarantee!

  • Doesn't seem to say which netflix region

    • I'm trying to find the official answer but I'm guessing it's set here:
      http://streamjack.tv/get-ip/

      • Have now purchased and tried this. It DOESN'T WORK for Netflix or Hulu.
I'm using a Roku 3 with the DNS settings loaded into the router; the DNS is detected and a proxy warning given.
Time to get my money back!

  • any rep for these guys?

Also, they should check their maths 96% off $49.99 is not $29.99

    • I think they're basing it on $4.99 per month x 12 months x 30 years ("lifetime")

  • I think it's $49.99 a year to unblock and $79.99 a year if you want the dns server included as well. You get both for $58.99USD with lifetime subscription

To be honest, a lot of these Netflix unblockers are trying to grab cash to fund their cat and mouse game against Netflix. Only problem is that this ends up spreading a limited resource (peoples' money) too thinly.

Better off picking a bigger/more reliable/more trustworthy player and pooling your funds with them instead.

E.g. I'd pick uFlix over this based on the willingness of the rep to help:

Although personally I threw in my lot with Getflix a while ago, back when they first started offering lifetime subs.

  • you're better off just using a VPN in the closest US city to you or where ever you want to unblock

i was planning on getting a VPS and building my own smartdns and if you go down that route and Netflix (or what ever your using) blocks you..
you can always turn that VPS into a VPN and just use that.

with some of the sales going around at the time i was looking it would of been close to this price per year

    • OR if you really really want… make trial accounts for smartDNS providers using a temporary email service and keep redoing that every 1-2 weeks (depending on provider) because eventually they all get blocked and have to counter it.

this way you can pick and switch when they get blocked
