Coolicool FR - LeTV Le1 Pro 5.5" qHD Snapdragon 810 Android Phone - £121.46 ($222.30AUD) Shipped

FVE3SUS

Good opportunity to take advantage of the current crazy currency fluctuations going on with the GBP.

I just snagged a silver LeTV LE1 Pro (Snapdragon 810, 64gb ROM, 4gb RAM, USB-C, 5.5" quad-HD display) for £121.46, or $222.30 at current exchange rates.

The trick is to go to the French version of Coolicool and change the currency to GBP before checking out.

I checked out using PayPal and am using my BankWest Zero credit card for fee-free currency conversion.

Add the coupon code FVE3SUS for another £2.07 discount.

Absolutely amazing phone for $220ish - Nexus 6 specs for about a third of the price. Has a decent dev community on xda-developers too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/leeco-le1-pro.

There's probably some dodgy cashback available too but I don't support those sites.

Enjoy!

  • Great find….but i thought the free delivery is france only? you can also get the op3 and mi5 ($370 ex del.) If you search for it.

  • Cant get it shipped to OZ?

    • 6.49 GBP for standard shipping or 17.30 GBP for DHL. Insurance is an extra 10.53 GBP. With DHL and insurance works out to be about $267 AUD, $247 by DHL no insurance or $227 standard shipping no insurance.

its a good brand… i have Letv 1s and been using it for about 3-4 months and its great so far, fast n responsive always..

got this exact model few days ago

cant recommend it hard enough, at this price its a steal, the build quality is top tier, mine came with a clear Letv case but no screen protector on strangely

the Le Hifi sound chip is shivering good, i didnt even want to take my earphone off, 93k on antutu(custom stock rom performance mode), the SD810 was not hot, warm at most like most phones when pushed, and i was pushing it to see if it heats up, played games, constantly switch between heavy apps, the only time it got the warmest was benchmarking and even that wasnt even very warm, outside of that any normal apps use wont heat it up. got nearly 5 hrs of SoT with low brightness, but constant use, youtube streaming in background while on several apps at once

    • I guess that's a reasonably positive review!

    • did you buy it from aliexpress $290.00?

      • no i got it from everbuying, mine was the US version, theres China version, Leeco sold this phone officially in US, abit minor presence, cannot install US roms on CN and vice versa

        • Which carrier are you using?

        • is this one the China version or US version? what do you mean you cant install US rom? you can at least flash it with a completely custom rom though right?

    • also the SD810 is v2.1 i cross checked in benchmark apps (adreno430 is 630mhz)

    • Such a positive review but no pos vote??

  • 6.0 MM rom is out but in beta, the only downside being people didnt like stock rom(EUI), i have no problem with it, there are decent custom rom support, MIUI, Cm12 AOSP but mostly got minor bugs due to phone still relatively new, best rom is Cuaco92 custom stock which im on.

    Hows the camera on this?

hey 5 + , I am still wondering if you can get this deliverd to oz?

  • Hmm I just ordered one of these and now I'm thinking it doesn't support Telstra 4G. I wasn't expecting 4GX, but I want some sort of LTE.
    Anyone using this on Telstra?

    • Im using 2 sims voda and telstra on it,…telstra is much faster than the voda sim but not sure which mhz its using. Both on 4g

      • Hmm ok thanks. Yours is the US version though. I'm assuming this is Chinese. I don't want to be stuck on 3G. Not sure what to do.

        • i think there may be chance its US, i didnt expect mine to be US and it was shipped from China strangely, the entire box and everything inside was in proper english.

  • Great price for the specs.

This is important info though, might have trouble with 4G here in Oz (due to the bands used by our telcos)?

    Networks: GSM 850/900/1800 / 1900MHz, WCDMA 850/900/1900/2100, FDD-LTE B1 / B2 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B12 / B17 / B25 / B26, Supports 2G & frequencies 3G & 4G LTE

Got that from the OP's link.

  • looks like the silver color is gone! it's 131 pounds now for the silver one.

  • So no band 7?
Other sites say it does band 7, but on this site it says it doesn't. Might have to cancel.

    • might be eu version is different.

  • Anything the Redmi Note 3 has over this apart from potential battery life?

    • Fingerprint scanner. I smashed the screen on mine, I was going to get another, but thought I'd check this out. Hoping it works on ok Telstra. The Redmi Note 3 works fine on 4G on Telstra

Wonder if this has Double Tap To Wake. In my opinion, it needs either Fingerprint or DTTW to be a smooth experience

        • although subjective, why does it need to have Fingerprint or DTTW to be a smooth experience????

        • @j03: Totally subjective. I found that when screens started getting much past 5 inch, consistently handling the narrow edges of a phone for the lock button was a huge downgrade VS just being able to put your hands where they would normally be during use (either double tapping the screen, thumb on home button, or index finger on the back). It feels incredibly more intuitive, and I don't think I'd be in a hurry to get a phone that has neither.

    • isnt redmi note 3 only a snapdragon 6xx processor?

      • Yeah but the 650 and 810 and pretty close performance wise

        • omg thats why people are so eager for the 650 phones. i had no idea and kept dismissing them

argh, i feel like i missed so many deals

  • Does it have a fingerprint scanner and does it work on Optus 4g?

My LG G4 just died yesterday and I am still on contracting and needing a new phone now

    • If you want a fingerprint scanner, I would go Redmi Note 3. Currently using on Optus 4G :~)

  • 28degree card showed 240Aud for 121 GBP
A bit off 220aud exchange rate

    • Yeah same here. Getting ripped off on the exchange rate.

    • don't worry, your transaction won't get posted to your account until Monday or Tuesday and will be updated with the new exchange rate.

  • Considering the votes that this one got, this should really have more positive votes..

    • The jury is still out on the 4G capabilities of this one. No band 7 would be bad

  • Argh. I emailed them asking about cancelling it straight after I ordered,
I just got an email saying they sent it this morning and it only supports bands B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B12/B17/B25/B26
So useless to me on Telstra, unless I'm happy with 3G, which I'm not

    • im 99% sure it will work fine with Telstra, given im using it now on 4g blazing fast and the HW is same

      • I hope you're right :)

  • ill just leave it here for anyone unlocking additional 4g bands when you guys receive the phone

key in following in dialer without quote

    " * # * # 4636 # * # * "

    go in phone info

scroll down and you will find a drop down menu where you can select the range of bands, there are quite alot so try it all and test speeds

    • Is band 28 and 7 there?

      • use this for B7, seems to be in it but needs to be turned on, B7 sits in CDMA but my phone likes to stick onto B3 for Telstra for some reason so i cant verify.

        " * # * # 9439 # * # * "

  • charge went through on my BankWest Zero card, was charged $227, bit disappointing since current exchange rate translates to closer to $219, but still a bargain. look forward to getting it!

    • $227 on 28 Degrees as well

      • me too
I tried to buy it from Aliexpress, was cancelled 5 times! this is cheaper anyway…

  • also, you guys gotta take into account the number of towers, for example b3 has over 1000+ towers in NSW alone vs b7 38 towers, i did a search in my vicinity on the phone with LTE discovery app and couldnt not find any b7 tower around so thats one reason my phone did not latch onto b7

    • I tried using this app the other day and couldn't find any information about bands.

  • Has anyone received their phone yet? Coolicool service is shocking, it has been so long and item has not even been dispatched yet.

    • unfortunately mine has been marked as "shipped" but the tracking number just shows "pre-advised". i am hesitant to initiate a return via paypal as i really want the phone. i'll hang on for another couple of weeks to see what transpires.

      • same for my order and I am hesitant to lodge dispute as well.

        • Finally got a refund. Disappointing as I was really hoping to get the device.

  • +1

Finally got mine this morning. It's a pretty impressive device. Especially for $220.
It's the US version, which sadly means no CM13 yet. It works fine on LTE on both optus and telstra. Obviously not their latest and greatest networks though

  • Got mine, started getting pop-ups, ads

    • I hope you don't get some bonus spyware or malware integrated with the ROM. Maybe try to do a clean flash of the device.

  • I have an unused gel case and glass screen protector for one of these, obviously no use for me since I'm not receiving the phone. Happy for someone in Melbourne to take them off my hands for free if they want (so long as they meet me at my office during office hours, near Southern Cross Station) - send me a PM.

  • My initial shipment was preadvised 4 weeks. I tried negotiations with them, responding every time but 2 days later.
I lodged dispute and finally got them to resend again. Another 4 weeks, finally got it. Good build, much heavier, bigger and slightly thicker than my LG g2.
Good value if it lasts for 2 years.
