Microsoft Surface Pro 4 i7 16GB RAM 256GB SSD $2094 Delivered @ DWI (Import Duty May Apply)

134

Hi all, I'm new here and this is my first post, so it's a pleasure to make everyone's acquaintance. : )

Came across this GST exempt deal of $2094.23 while helping a family member buy a Surface Pro 4 i7. The 3% off deal (which is applied automatically in checkout, expires 4th of July) is applicable sitewide, and even without it, this store's pricing is still cheaper than both Microsoft's Store and Harvey Norman's, coming in at $2,159.00, delivered.

IMPORTANT! Item will ship as is, in your checkout, and any GST inclusion, will be taken care of exclusively by DWI. Spoke to a Customer Service Representative, so in short, this DEAL is exempt from GST. However, import duty on items over $1000 apply

Great news for those seeking a Surface Pro 4. : )

You linked a picture instead of the site

    • I previewed the post but it had no picture, so I added a picture, but now the link is gone from the main thing. How do I fix this? Sorry to be such a goof.

Be prepared to pay %10 GST when its arrive to Australia. Unless they will make false claim about the product price.

What about if it ships from inside Australia?

What about if they pay the import taxes if it's coming from outside Australia? Or the declare the value lower and if so who cares.

So there is no guarantee that you have to pay GST and fees on top of the price.

I bought couple of items from DWI and all of them shipped form Hong Kong.

It will not ship from australia.
They will not pay import taxes for you.
They almost certainly (99%) wont declare lower value in general, but especially not on an item that is OBVIOUSLY worth more.

        • GST is exempt from this deal. I've spoken to the Customer Service Representative, and I can confirm that it is exempt. :)

@JECT: Just because DWI doesn't charge GST doesn't mean you do have to pay it to get it into Australia.

I am not aware of any exceptions to the $1k import duty limit?

Let me fix that for you.

is the size of the battery bigger with this model? I have i5 4GB 128GB and the battery life is not great at 50% brightness.

    • +2

      I don't believe so.

Microsoft made a power type cover that had an additional battery - brilliant idea right? They killed it after the Surface Pro 2…

I like that cover. It is the same price as an SP4 type cover. I would take one if they still made them.

No deal, the import charges make it dearer than local.

      good point.

      Correct

GST is exempt from this deal. :) You people are way too quick to neg. Tsk! :p

OMG, don't be an idiot. DWI are GST exempt because they are in China. You are not exempt and will have to pay GST plus import fees.

I've spoken to the Customer Service Representative, and I can confirm that it is exempt. :)

Oh well, in that case, here is another deal for the OP http://www.computerxsite.com/Bridge%20or%20Sale.jpg
I phoned the number, and he told me it is legit.

      I want that guy's number.

    This is not a bargain.

GST (and perhaps Customs Clearance fees) will make it more expensive than buying from an Australian retailer.

I an not sure if Microsoft have an International Warranty to cover hardware. However, buyers would certainly not have the two year Australian Consumer Guarantee.

Dear OP. Please buy one and let us know how it goes.

Cmon folks don't discount the chance it may be being shipped via the Columbian shipping network (using a Yaht).

I've spoken to the Customer Service Representative, and I can confirm the shipping company is using the "Escobar flowers and gadgets freight".
