Just bought the very popular Bose QC35 headset for $399 at Myer - Macquarie Centre, NSW. Big sign over the electronics department "20% Off the original price of TV's, headphones, speakers, home theater, cameras and camcorders. (Excludes clearance & Go Pro, some items previously discounted cannot be used with other offers. Offer ends Sunday, 3 July 2016. Not all brands , styles & colours available all stores".

It would appear that other stores have stated that Bose are excluded from the 20% off, see comments for more details.     Thanks OP. Your receipt worked perfectly at JB Hifi Doncaster (no black in stock though - though they asked me to pay and get it later on $399) but few steps away Myer Doncaster matched it without question.

      The brief time i have had it on. Man. The ANC is insane. Blocked out so much daily noise and those it cannot are muffled.

      Wind noise. Gone.
      vehicle noise. Muffled.
      on the train. Most train noises gone. Train announcement. Muffled.

      Cannot wait till my trip. Keen to see how these are on the plane. Also how long i can have them on before fatigue sets in as my morning commute is just shy of 1 hour so no fatigue there. My plane trips are between 8 and 15 hours.

      Do i regret this purchase? So far its a no. Lets see after my plane trip changes that.

    Question - if you want to use the QC35 with an in-flight entertainment system, do you need to use a 3.5mm cord?

      unless the plane has bluetooth, which I doubt. You may also need to use the adapter to go to 2 pin.

        I haven't seen the thread but I have one on the way for my QC35s, I ordered it with one of the adapters to convert my QC25s to bluetooth too. Turns out I LOVE not having wires.

        I'll let you know how they go if you like. I have a referral code if you wanted to order, gets $10 off making the transmitter a bit cheaper, $15 shipping kind of kills it.

        Or if you want to order more $75 worth use code GADGETFLOW15 for 15% off. Not sure if you could stack it.

          @tight-ass: Bugger…. I actually want to use it with an AV receiver, that might be a problem. It wont matter at all with music but out of sync with video will shit me right off. Not so bad if you use headphones all the time as I can set an audio offset in Kodi but annoying if switching back and forth regularly. If I'd known that I would have opted for something a lot cheaper I think.

          Anyway, will find out once they turn up I guess.

        I have the transmitter now, it definitely has some lag, about 50ms I think. Using the adapter I got for the QC25s instead of the QC35 bluetooth the audio syncs perfectly. I think this is using the low latency APTX though.

        Only tested on a PC with youtube so far.

          @tight-ass: Yeh, I agree. If you really wanted wireless I'd just get one of the cheaper transmitters I think. Using the QC35s with my samsung tablets bluetooth I experience no lag playing video from an SD card which is what I'd be using on a plane anyway.

        I got the black ones, but I called the store earlier and spoke a sales rep who kept it aside for me. The lady went into the back to get the headphones. I did not see any in display, but I could be wrong.

    Nice deal, could anyone tell me apart from using the anc on airplanes, when would be a good time to turn it on? I have read that the sound it "blocks" has to be repeating?

    So for example if a baby cries, would ANC work?

      While on the train or bus… I'm currently using it right now sitting in front of the computer, to my left is a 100 liter aquarium with air pump, QC35 completely blocks the "brrrrrrrr" sound. Well worth the price for me (which came out cheaper since I ended up using some misc Coles/Myers gift cards I had lying around since last year).

      Yes. I had a screaming baby near me on a plane, turned on my QC20s and never thought of it again. It won't 100% block that out, but it will reduce it greatly, and add in sound from music, podcast of video being watched and it's gone. I can have my wife talking to me 2m away as i use them while gaming and I have no idea she is saying anything.

      Tried on the phone and got told Emily has now worked her last shift. Tried in person and got referred to some old guy who straight up said "it's illegal to do what all these internet guys are doing, I have instructed all my staff to not allow this".

      I didn't push it as I could tell there was no point.

        Sorry for late reply, at time of purchase there were at least 3-4 left in the cabinet. All black. I called beforehand and asked if there were in stock, but I never mentioned the price drop.

        My advice is to gather all the receipts posted and save them into your phone. Only when you f2f is when you should hit em with the evidence, it'll be easier to argue the discount.

        Look prepared and confident, you should have no wakkas

    Picked up the last pair from Brookside, QLD (Brisbane). POS said $499, we had to point at the 20% off headphones sign.
    The sales person contacted her manager and Ok'd the discount. She showed us an internal memo that said the deal excluded Bose but was still happy to honour the sign.
    I am happy to upload a receipt if anyone needs for the Brisbane area.

      Mine had 70% charge out of the box. Havent charged mine yet but for sure a powerbank should juice these up no problem. How fast. Not sure. Depends on the powerbank i guess.

      As for duty free. Doubt you could get these for $399 there.

    I was able to get discount at BOSE STORE DFO Homebush NSW. Jason was very nice and helpful. He let me use 4 amex cards as well. I told him I paid $450 for my other set from Penrith store and he was able to refund the difference as well. Max he could do was 15%.

        The BOSE stores arent going to pricematch a blundered 20% off from myer. The best that they will do is $449 pricematching to places like Apollo Hi Fi if you directly ask them to.

    If anyone is interested, I just picked up a pair from Garden City Myer, WA.
    The sales person put it through without hesitation, when it didn't scan at 20% off, I showed him the receipt from OP and he put it straight through.

    I bought the last black one in a Sydney Myer store for $399.20. I tried the display model and the ANC was excellent. I couldn't hear a thing when it was turned on in a noisy store. Excellent headphones and highly recommend it.
