Just bought the very popular Bose QC35 headset for $399 at Myer - Macquarie Centre, NSW. Big sign over the electronics department "20% Off the original price of TV's, headphones, speakers, home theater, cameras and camcorders. (Excludes clearance & Go Pro, some items previously discounted cannot be used with other offers. Offer ends Sunday, 3 July 2016. Not all brands , styles & colours available all stores".

It's unclear at this time if this promotion is at Macquarie Centre NSW only or nationwide. It would appear that other stores have stated that Bose are excluded from the 20% off, see comments for more details. There is no requirement for another store to match the deal & Macquarie Centre may rectify this also.

      If you've bought after Feb 1st (which you did), you're eligible to trade-up to the QC35's.

      Just need to supply proof of purchase to an official BOSE store (not a reseller/franchise) and your QC25's and pay the difference.

      That I'm not sure, the store sign (posted pic link above) doesn't mention anything about exclusive to Myer Macquarie Centre only.

    Last month they had one with 15% off AND included headphones. I tried to get the BOSE QC25 but they told me it was excluded even though it was not on the exclusion list. Ended up getting a QC25 price match of $336 to some other place and got to pick the Special Edition Black QC25 Android version which the guy didn't want to give me at first. Will probably put it on ebay for like $299 and pay the difference to get the QC35.

      I was worried about that and I was ready to hold my ground since it didn't specifically say "Bose excluded", but the salesperson didn't blink when I pointed out the sign that says includes headphones.

    For those not convinced (like I USED to be) of the quality of the Bose QC series, here's a photo of this month's Choice Magazine article regarding headphones.

    The QC 20 and QC25 topped the list.

    Might not matter to anyone else, but I received this from Bose support regarding turning off noise cancelling.

    Thank you for your online enquiry, regarding turning off the noise cancelling on your QC35 headphones. When the power switch is located to the left (no green light) then the noise cancelling is switched off. You can still listen to music via the passive mode when the cable provided is connected, however there is no way of having noise cancelling off and using Bluetooth. I doubt this will change as it is only on or off and noise cancelling and Bluetooth are on the same toggle switch.

    I hope this answers your question.

    I just rang Myer at Southland Shopping Centre in Victoria and was told that they are excluded from the sale but he was happy to take $50 off not $100 :(
    Pity I was going to jump at getting a pair and sell my QC25's and my Soundlink bluetooth headphones which are total POS and I would not recommend to anybody unless I have a dodgy pair.

    Adelaide CBD Myer said the best they can do is $450 when I called. I then called their Marion store and was put through to the headphones section twice and no one answered the phone, just in case someone wanted to know.

      Canberra Centre's 20% promo excludes Bose. However they were 'happy' to give me the 20% off on the Bose too when I told them "a mate got it with 20% off in your store yesterday". They didn't have any in store, so they've ordered my black to be delivered to me for $399.

          i spoke to the caucasian guy on the phone. He remembered and helped me out when I showed up at the store, and then got one of the asian guys (there were 2) to take over processing the sales as he was needed elsewhere.

    I have the QC25 - one of the best things ive ever purchased. They are the equiv of a leather interior european car so good.

    One concern i have with the QC35 is the inbuilt battery. Every device i've ever owned which has a built in battery gets depleated…then what, can't replace the battery, charge may just hold for 15 mins eventually…hmmmm

        yeah i agree. I can think of 2 nightmare situations one can face in comparison to owning the QC25.

        1. On a plane and there's no USB or anyway to charge the QC35 (never know, could happen)
        2. Internal battery could deplete overtime, eventually you charge the headphones before a flight or transit, you get like 3 hours out of them then spend the remaining 8 hours without ANC

        QC25 is great with the AA battery ability. Fair enough we have a cord but that's the price we pay for reliability

          actually, for many times i simply just use the anc function if i want to take a nap in stead of watching or listening anything on the plane. in this case, it is "wireless" :p
