bought this tv for the parents, is okay for what they use for. Android tv (built in chromecast) easy to teach the oldies to use.

picture quality not as good as my Panasonic vt50, corners are slightly dark on all white screen and contrast slightly uneven on all black screens.

Decent picture for the price I paid.

    • Thanks for the feedback

might be worth mentioning that there aren't many displays that match a VT50 :)

        Agreed. Except $5000+ OLED tvs

  • The TV does a nice job upscaling from standard definition. Tried out composite video cable input on the weekend and it is very watchable.
A aux to composite cable is not included but its not required, you can plug the yellow composite into I think the (Blue) component input and it works fine. (i can't remember the exact colour but its the one furthest away fromt he two audio(white/red) inputs.

Sound is also quite good, comparing to their old 46inch KDL-46XBR

my VT50 65inch was $4400 and I got this for less than 40% of that so its good value.

    • Why use a composite cable rather than HDMI?

      • their satelite tv only has composite out.

    • No one really uses composite cable anymore, unless your equipment is more than 10 years old.

are all tv's this much cheaper in america??

    • I wouldn't bet on shipping something that fragile and that size across from another country.

Also the following could be a major pain:
      - power voltage is different
      - warranty
      - screen defects (DOA)
      - digital tuner (different band)
      - GST tax

      • Add import duty and probably no int. warranty, forget it. Better off with Aldi Bauhn.

        • Yeah agree, definitely did not intend to buy this tv from america. Just wondering wether ALL tvs were this much cheaper than the equivalent australian model.

  • Any other Full HD 65 inch Sony / Samsung / Panasonic / LG tv's around this price?
