    Booked SYD-SGN-CDG-LHR-HAN-SYD for $1111

  • Great price but beware of a long layover in at least 1 direction and possibly both directions. SGN Airport is also not the most amazing place to spend a lot of time and due to Visa requirements , unless you hold a passport that does not need a visa it won't be possible to leave the airport without purchasing a Visa.

Also the food and drink options on board are really really average. I normally eat anything but left half my meal.

    • Yeah, I experienced this last time I went to Japan via SGN. Nothing much to do there, the airport is a bit depressing; dark, humid and no reliable wi-fi (that was 3 yrs ago). But I remember, if you are on a transfer trip, they will give you food voucher when you visit transfer lounge.

On the last leg of my flight, I didn't bother to eat the main food as the smell (of seasoning) and taste are all the same on all the flights.

  • +1

This is copy paste from secret flying.

  • Has anyone ever used these fares? is it possible to do stopovers in VN both to and back from EU? I like to break up the long haul flights with city stop overs. Aware of visa situation too.

    • A stopover would make this a great deal for me…free Vietnam holiday making the visa issue worthwhile. And cost Air VN nothing extra but I bet they wont do it.

  • is this not essentially the same deal as: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/255716?

  • Had poor experience with this airline, the temperature on the plane, stuffy and sweaty and I normally would consider 18 degrees as cold and still cannot stand the temperature onboard.

  • I often look at these deals and thibk, I don't want to travel to Paris for a week at nearly 1000 for a flight.
