Awesome thanks for sharing, just updated the main link to include the smile :)

  • Do you have to pay for freight back if these fail?

  • +1

Seems like a great price, thanks OP.

  • Excellent SSD, however just be aware that your computer needs to be SATA-3 capable to achieve these read/write speeds.

    • So every computer for the last 10 years then :p

      • Unfortunately, my mid-range Acer Laptop I purchased last year turned out to be SATA-2

        • Acer is well known to have crappy internal components (get what you pay for), sorry to say but this isn't surprising…

      • *6-7 years

  • What is the Australian RRP of the GTX 1070 & 1080 supposed to be? I can only find US RRP.

    • -2

Shops have mostly settled in $800 for the 1070 and $1200 for the 1080.

You can find $700 1070 cards from Gainward at Umart as the cheapest though.

    • No official au rrp, just convert the us rrp to $au and you will have the price we should be paying.

      • +2

Don't forget to add GST and the Australia tax (anywhere between 10 and 50%).

        • What is Australian tax, is it the benifit of being in Australia to be charged more out of no reason?

      • The RRP is not the price you should be paying it's a device to alter you sense of value if you were not using the RRP as a guide to what something "should" be worth.

  • USD 419 here! Better price than tittle

      Plus postage !!!

Looks like the GTX 1070 has gone back up.

  • Does the PNY come with data migration / disk cloning software? Thanks.

    • +1

Answering my own question: "Acronis Data Migration software included"

      • Whirlpool is a great place to find answers, right guys?

  • If you ship it to a parcelpoint, it's $60.03 USD… hey, every dollar counts :)

  • Damn that was a good price for the 1070!

    • +1

If you want the MSI GTX 1070 you can still buy through backorder and it's still currently at the same $433.95 USD delivered. Current status says it will be back in stock on July 9th (USA time) so if you order now it will likely ship in a few days time when it's back in stock. Ordering now locks in the price so it they Amazon jacks the price up in even a few hours time it doesn't matter because your backorder was locked in at the previous price.

      • +1

To add to that, it's showing as in stock on July 14th now, but you can still currently backorder it (as of the moment) at the same deal price as found in the thread title.

It is a TLC SSD. The rated performance figures are most likely the SLC cache's performance, rather than the TLC's true performance (every SSD maker does the same, TLC SSD with SLC cachce). Good price for 240GB SSD (even for a TLC).

  • Surely this is a better 1070 deal… US$446 shipped.

    • Doesn't ship to AU it seems.

      • it did
