Presto: 2 Month Free Extension

510
TELYIELDS3

In account settings, when I chose to "pause subscription" I was offered 2 month free extension.
Hopefully this code is useful to someone.

Was on "Presto Entertainment" package.

If my code doesn't work for you, following the same process might provide another code.

  • How close were you to end of your current subscription? Let's say you had 8 days left, did you end up with two months and eight dats? Thanks

  • renewal started on 28/06/2016, so 9 days in.

    Does anybody pay for Presto?

    • +6

I think the only people paying are those who forget to add another 3-6 month free code when their last one runs out.

      • Yep, I should have added "deliberately" before "pay".

        • Yeah, I'd missed the expiry, not that they bother to notify before, at, or after it happened.
If you don't login to the account you wouldn't know about the invoice until you check credit card. :(

  • LOL PRESTO HAHAHA

I just signed up for a 3 month free trial so my kids could watch Ace Ventura. The interface is horrid. So hard to use. I have a big sticky on the fridge so I can cancel before it runs out.

    • +2

      Better yet a calendar notification

      • +6

You can cancel prior and it will end at the end of the free trail

Don't complain about the interface or the app if your not paying for it.

If you were paying i would understand and to this day i haven't paid either. I fail to understand how they are still afloat with all these freebies they hand out.

where do you put the code in? i can't find the place.

    • +1

you have to be close to your sub end date to be able to find that place

      • i think my subscription ends on 20/7 (6 month free trial). Cant find the promo code entry box. Maybe its a code for paid subscriptions?

Have an alarm in my calendar to go off when I get near my current 6 month free extension. So far have had it for about a year, and hardly use it. Partly because the content isn't really there to interest us, and mainly because using it sucks big time. I have issues with the app on both an iPad as well as android, streaming to Chromecast (original and new version) as well as an Apple TV. I'm hopeful that when it is supported by our Fetch TV box it might become reliable….. maybe….. but for now it's good value for free, but wouldn't pay more than a couple of dollars for it. Stan however wasn't too bad - wish a few more deals for that would come out.

FWIW Found this just before: https://www.finder.com.au/tv-shows-internet-tv (interesting way of finding what shows are available on the different streaming services).

Agree with the usage issues, I've had nothing but trouble and I'm using a standard computer browser. Buffering, won't load videos at all, won't always recognise mouse clicks, won't display TV series breakdown properly, login details don't save, doesn't remember me on a single device, can't add to favourites, etc, etc. Had no issues at all with Netflix.
Definately won't continue the subscription after my free trial is up!

      • FWIW Found the other day that Presto had finally become available as an app on Fetch. Fired it up, logged on, and it PLAYED AN ENTIRE MOVIE WITHOUT A SINGLE GLITCH! I know that should be how it is, but my expectations based on prior experience were not high. So, so far it now looks a lot more promising than it was before…..

Oh, and when I opened the app a little while later I was still logged on, so didn't have to type in the password again. Yay.

    Didn't work :( (I'm still on a trial FYI)

  • Thanks
    It did work for me.

    My expiry date was 17/07/06.

I agree that Presto is rubbish. We have been trying to watch a season of True Detectives for a week now. Teased us in with episode 1 working no problem. Since then it just wigs out all the time. Signed out, errors on PS3 while the video is still playing in the background, unable to access via windows computer.
There is no way I would pay for this service, it's less time consuming to find a pirated copy and watch that. Probably…

  • I have a presto account where should i enter the code?

    • +1

on the account page where you choose which plan, (had like three large boxes) and at bottom of box for one you've selected I had option to enter a code.

      • I only see pause subscription and view promo. I see my plan when I click on promo but cant find the box for inserting the code.

I login to Presto to try this deal.. and..

Uh-oh! Presto has encountered a bit of a glitch
We are working hard to fix it, so you can try again in a few minutes or come back a bit later.

    • Above commentators are right, who would pay for this?
  • +1

The Presto website is currently down, pretty sure that I am due to be billed tomorrow too. Go figure.

  • +1

crap. cant login to Presto now.

  • I just managed to login, try again. It was failing for me too.

  • There isn't an Apple TV/chrome cast app for this is there?

    • +1

Chrome cast you can stream to. Dunno about apple

    • +1

You can use airplay to play stuff on the Apple TV. Have tried it a few times, and once you find how to it does work. Kinda. Usually seems to die about two thirds of the way through a movie, so then 'just' need to reconnect and restart playing. Oh, it doesn't remember where you were last so you have to hint for where you were last whilst the family complains. Did I mention it sucks? ;-)

      • +1

Cheers, yeah I airplay atm - works well most of the time but would prefer an app

        • Second hand knowledge but I hear that airplay won't work with the newest Apple TV. They also haven't released an Apple TV (4th Gen) app either. Not surprising given the bugginess of their software.
I have a PS4, but that app is awful. Seems to be most reliable when using an iOS app airplaying to my Apple TV (3rd Gen).

Thanks… just for reminding, I have presto.

    • +1

HAHAHAHA love it…yep I've had it for a month or so and it's easy to forget about it.

FYI…I tried pausing my subscription to put in the code but I actually paused it - oh no what will I do without Presto!!!

  • Worked for me…had 1 day left of 3 month free deal. Paused then added code.

  • I've got a 6 month code to add onto my current 3 month code, any idea how long this would be valid?

  • Didn't work for me. Subscription (free) ending 20/8

    • same here no offers of free period after 6 months
