  • Seriously considering this monitor to match up with my GTX 970…is is worth it for G-Sync?

after using allot of 27" TN panels over the many years.. I'm just fed up with the viewing angles.. people say its not a big deal but at 27" when you look at the corners of a 27" monitor each corner is washed out due to the angle your head has to move to see the edges.. Not as much of an issue on 24" or smaller

IPS 60Hz is the way to go or IPS 144Hz if you can afford it… MAKE SURE TO Buy your IPS 144hz from a local store you can take it back too.. lots of Qualty control issues with these IPS 144Hz monitors for some reason.. i think the 165Hz XG2703-GS G-SYNC or XG2703 FreeSync will be the way to go for me :)

This ones a good option while you wait for the better IPS 165hz monitors - http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/asus-vc279h-27-ips-fhd…

      • Thanks for that, I was considering myself too. I have a 2 X 24" 1920 X 1200 IPS displays and considering going to a single 27" Was also worried about the resolution. I might save up a bit and get a better display
        .

        • Full HD rez on a 27" IPS is great for games and movies.. they look nice and run very well at the lower full HD rez of 1920x1080
in desktop & websites they are fine too.. could always be better with higher rez though :).. i wish the IPS 144hz 1440p monitors were better value.. they are so pricey, i guess like everything they will come down in price over time!

If this stupid 20% off sale was really 20% off this monitor would be $400 ish :(

      • Looks interesting I just wished companies stop painting the monitors green or red just leave it black or platinum.

      • Holy shit those viewsonic xg2703's when are they getting released?? i missed out on the recent sale of the acer predators

  • Price sounds good but agree, only 1080p and TN panel equal sub standard pic quality. But great post, Thanks Op!!

  • Thanks OP.

Got excited but I'm looking for 1440p res in a 27-inch - keeping my eyes peeled.
