    Is it real chicken?

  • do they come preassembled?

    • +9

its Ikea, you get a chicken and an Allen key, some assembly required!

      • +2

Shouldn't you get the egg first?

        • +1

Can't make an egg with 10%

Are they still serving horse these days?

Hope not. That stuff tastes foal.

Someone better pony up some decent food then!

          More withering gags?

          @USB-V: Don't be such a nag.

    • I'm so sick of this line "They make them from horses". Lies, The meatballs are pure 100% free range Swedish baby, hard to debone but hey….

  • +2

Some unit of measure other than "15" would be helpful for comparison to other brands.

    • +2

Ikea meatballs are really small, I agree. They are only bite size. 15 sounds like a lot, but its not.
      "Family feast" LOL

      • +3

for $6.99 its not bad. you still get your mash potato with that aswell

  • free range?

    • +11

Of course not. Chickens were housed in a warehouse of Billy Bookcases.

      • +2

        LMAO

  • Isn't that the normal price? Chicken meatballs are always cheaper that the beef ones.

    • +3

To the one who negged me, this is the family price. Who is stupid enough to pay the regular price when you can sign up for a family card on the spot?

  • +3

Where? SA/WA are different to the rest of the country…

    • They sure are…

  • +2

Should mention that this relates to having the meatballs in the Café, not purchasing them in packs.

People have no sense of humor
        Oh well

  • Their chickens look and walk like horses.

    • No! It's the same chicken that's in Ronald's nuggets ;)

  • Is horse meat once off, or comes back once a year like KFC hot and spicy?

    • -1

They get it all year round in QLD…

Had these the other day, tasted pretty terrible. Pretty sure there is more sawdust than chicken in them. Can't argue with the price though - it was a big plate of food.

    • Did all 15 taste terrible?

      • Everything tastes terrible when you finish 15 of them together…

    • I swear that there's some gristle in it too. Tastes weird for chicken, if it is chicken. :)

  • Ozbargainers love their balls, thanks OP.

The offer is there for eon's if you are a member of the Ikea family.

    • And not stackable with other offer (like kids-eat-free that they had last time I went there)

  • lol'd at "Family Feast"

  • I stopped eating at Ikea recently when they put their plates of 10 swedish meatballs up from $4 to $8 so might give this a go.

  • If you're in the market for small cooked pieces of "chicken", check out McDonalds - 24 nuggets for $9.95
