  • Haven't Hulu always offered the first month free?

    • +1

I think it always offers one week and have offered 2 months in the past too.

  • Discount for Trump supporters?

    • +7

      No, only for Hulu-ry Clinton.

Any CC sign up like Netflix?

    • +1

Yep. I use my AU debit card and have done so for about 3 years now.

How?? I thought that each visa/mastercard number could only be used once for a hulu trial…

        • I've only ever used it once.

Sorry I didn't think the question was if you had done it before.

      • Wish I knew how. I've been paying for the past few years and my credit card expired about 2 months ago. I couldn't update it as it would only accept American cards.

Someone suggested using an American express issued cards. Gave that a go. Didn't work either.

Have you tried a load and go CC which has been registered in a US address? It used to work for me for services like Vudu.

Also you could buy gift cards…

Have you tried Entropay.com? Virtual US credit card, you fund using your AU credit card.
Just don't use a US VPN when accessing the site as it's meant for non-US customers.

I used to pay for US Netflix using this.

  • Problem I found in the past was I couldn't sign up for the trial as my visa CC is detected as a non USA one, tried my holiday cash PASSPORT visa, no go too.

Has anyone successfully signed up for the trial?

      when i signed up
i set up a Paypal using a fake US address and linked my aussie CC
Then used Paypal to pay for Hulu
I have recently cancelled Hulu as it wasn't getting used but yeah that was my method for paying.

      • I tried to do that the other day. PayPal now require you to prove you're who you are. It asked me for a social security number. And hulu wouldn't process through PayPal until the account had been validated as American.

        • i only switched to PP recently, i guess i was lucky in the way i got set up
i did sign up to PP while i had my VPN active so i guess it detected i was in US maybe?

    • its cheaper to just buy the 12/8 month codes from ebay. can get them around 35-40$

  • Cancelling an existing plan also gets you 1m free
they give u a free month to try and get you to stay :)

  • Can't sign up due to Aussie CC, is there a solution for this? I previously purchased gift cards but there's been a clamp down on the cheap ones.

    • Try a different card. I've been using a credit union issued Visa Debit for 3 years now.

      • +1

Tried updating recently? I was paying using a normal Mastercard for years. It only became an issue when I went to update my expired card details about 2 months ago.

    • Define 'cheap ones'? As in so cheap they were probably bought using stolen CCs or just a little cheaper than they should cost?

      • Could generally pick them up for around 25% discount now they all seem to be just above full price. (Not the dodgy ones that are $25 a year)

  • Can i use Fetch mini to watch Hulu?

    • +2

      Nope!
Fetch requires apps to be installed on box, Hulu is not an aussie product so sadly no option.

  • When I first signed up a while back with my Australian Debit Mastercard it kept on declining. After about 3 attempts I received a phone call from the bank asking me if I was trying to process this transaction. The minute I verified my info and they said they'd allow it through it worked immediately. I have since updated details and still working. For me it wasn't Hulu blocking the transaction, it was CommBank.
