  • Everything in hardware seems to be same price as 30% off deal

      Nah. They're 60% off.
Remember the price shown in black is the amount you are saving. Not the original price.
      eg: $12.00
      You Save $18.00
      Original price was therefore $30
      60% of $30 = $18

  • There are some pretty good prices on garden solar lights and many are 60% off, not sure about other items.

      • A good light level is between 500 and 700 lumens. 400 lumens is quite dull. 4000 lumens is good for street or sports ground lighting.

Don't know where you are, but this was at Richlands yesterday:

      https://www.masters.com.au/product/101725828/red-centre-delu…

And don't forget that if you purchased something from Masters, and the price has since dropped (Really Useful Boxes were $35, now $20) and you purchased it within the last 30 days Masters have a price match guarantee and will refund the difference.

      • Was there just now. The only things that are 60% off are on the tables. Pretty poor selection at Richlands Masters. Might have better luck at a larger Masters.

      • Out of stock at Adelaide. :(

    • Weber are still at normal prices :(

I hate websites that sort by the original price rather than the sale price, so even if you sort cheap to expensive, the items are still out of order. Poor form.

    • The Master's site is absolutely appalling. Has a weird sort function, but the thing that really bugs me is how you can order the sale items but they don't actually take your stock off display, so it keeps getting sold. I've never actually received an order from Masters that i've ordered online - you really need to go into the store.

Then you have to sort out refunds etc which is a pain

At least Bunnings just says "here's the price - come and get it"

Was at the Lismore store collecting my Bosch drilling set and notice the Black and Decker 18v kit that was popular for $99 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/250197 is now $79.

    • Shame none in reasonable distance from me :(

  • Any news on what's happening with Masters?

    • +1

From what I've been led to believe from a friend of mine that used to work there is that they will make there decision by the end of this month on the fate of the business. This is line with the heavy discounting that's happening right now, but we will have to wait & see what the outcome is.

Apparently Lowes and Woolworths are in a disagreement over the value of Masters.

Hopefully Lowes or another chain views this as an opportunity to come in and increase competition.

  • Nice but far away

  • Guess they're really closing down for good…too much doom & gloom in Australia retail industry now..sad..

    • Not necessarily. They were restocking shelves today. They are clearing certain brands.

  • The standalone letterboxes they had for $69 are now down to $27. Dandenong South store had 9 that I saw.

    • Got one when it was $69 andI put it somewhere in my garage.. Probably too much of a hassle to return it.
