USD $40 (~AUD $53) off Airport Lounge Access Pass at LoungeBuddy When You Pay by Visa

740

You can pick up a free lounge pass worth up to $40 USD at over 130 locations around the world when you book through LoungeBuddy.com and pay with a Visa card until October 31, 2016. Good for those who don't have lounge access through elite airline status (or as a credit card benefit), and value the opportunity to relax in comfortable surrounds before a flight with food / drink, WIFI and a shower (a godsend during longhaul travel!).

Full list of locations here: https://www.loungebuddy.com/select/locations

Included are lounges from Plaza Premium, DNATA, Ambassador and many others. Access costs seem to range from around USD $30 - USD $48, so there may be some residual to pay, depending on your choice of lounge. Lots of options at Dubai for interconnecting Australian flights, as well as London and Singapore.

There is only one location in Australia (that is charged at USD $51, so presumably you'd still need to pay $11 for access). (Brisbane Plaza Premium: https://www.loungebuddy.com/BNE/plaza-premium-lounge-interna…)

Important things to note:

  • You can only book a max of 21 days in advance - so if you have flights coming up in say, mid September, put a reminder in the calendar as you'll need to book down the track
  • You can only book through the promotional link, not through the LoungeBuddy app.
  • Limit of 1 free pass per person.
  • If you purchase a pass that costs less than $40, you give up the remaining value of the coupon.

  • Hmm connecting through Dubai in December. I wonder if the deal will still exist then.

  • Interesting deal.. Good deal I'd say.

I was thinking with multiple visa cards, maybe I could get multiple passes, but their T&Cs do specify that it's one per customer

can the card holder book for a family member?

    Hey! Low class person here.

Are these lounges all you can eat? And do they have dress policies?

    • In my experience they are all you can eat - there might be a buffet and you can serve yourself.

They don't have extreme dress policies - lots of people wouldn't be dressed up at all. Typically casual clothing would be fine, but a singlet and thongs would be pushing it.

    • +1

They are - but the variety of food may vary. e.g. some lounges may just have crackers, fruit, chips and sandwiches or similar i.e. light snacks, not things people would typically eat a lot of.

    • Thanks guys!

  • Website is broke.

    • Doesn't work in chrome for me but in firefox it does.

  • Say I'm flying through the US and want to use the Alaskan Lounge I booked with this - do I have to be flying on an airline that's in alliance with Alaskan or can I be flying anyone?

    • anyone :)

  • Awesome. I'll be staying in SIN for a whole 9 hours on late Sept so I have this bookmarked and reminder set for the free lounge pass. (US$38).

    Thanks OP!

        Furthermore,

The CDV can also be redeemed for one-time access to the Ambassador Transit Lounge located in the transit areas of Terminals 2 and 3 for up to two (2) hours. Lounge usage includes showers with basic toiletries, free flow buffet of food and non-alcoholic beverages, complimentary Wi-Fi, and international reading materials.

      • Awwww yeahhhh Changi airport ozbargained

  • Will be in KL with 8+ hrs transit back to Sydney next month so great pick up.

I'll probably do a bit of sight seeing in the morning/afternoon and then help myself to a few drinks before passing out on the plane.

    …It's unlimited alcohol right?

    • I'm doing the same, it appears as though this is the only lounge in KLA2 that includes alcohol (beer only). It doesn't mention it on the website, but I've done a bit of searching and I think this is correct:
      https://www.loungebuddy.com/KUL/plaza-premium-lounge-interna…

I usually fly SQ to Asia and thus have lounge access, but flying Air Asia to KL as it's hard to justify double the price and also with a stopover.

      mostly beer only

  • Hi looking at booking LA for next week it asked for a time you will be in the lounge if I put in say 7pm and don't turn up till 9pm will they still allow me in ?

    • FYI it's + or - 1 hour after that it's at the lounges discretion

    • Does anyone know how easy it is to switch between terminals at LAX? Do you have to go through security screening again? Only one lounge for LAX and it's in a different terminal. Appreciate any insights.

      • I recently went on a USA trip in May. I had to transfer in LAX to go to NYC on United Airlines.

I found it was pretty easy to transfer to different terminals but you might have to consider distance between each terminal.

I remember after clearing immigration, I had to go to terminal 7. Walking there took me around 15 - 20 mins or even more.

You'll have to go through security screening again.

If you didn't know: the terminals link so after you go through security you can walk to any terminal and don't need to go through security again unless you go out of the airport.

But still the terminals in the airport are a fair distance away from each other.

Also I think there are buses that go to each terminal.

You could check the LAX airport map online.

        Hope it helps!

  • At what point does it change to $0 as it still shows $40 when I put in Visa details

    • +1

Could this be you issue… "Valid for online purchases via the Visa Promotional Link"

    • +1

      which lounge?

does your Payment Details page state Total is US$0 (Discounted from US$40)?

      • US lounges…

I must have strayed from the Visa Promotional Link. All fixed now showing $40 off

You are smart - I got the same problem and had a wishful thinking that it would be applied eventually but it didn't. The charge had been made to my visa ceredit card account. Had written to support by emaill and will report back, hopefully with good news.

    • Update; Charge reversed by Support LoungeBuddy (which is quite impressive) but the booking alos cancelled. When I tried to rebook, offer expired. :-(

  • Any recommendations for Singapore? I have a 6-7 hour transit and sadly the Qantas lounge isn't open 24hours (ridiculous?). Any idea which ones have free bar access?

    • From what I've read, the plaza premium lounge

      • I went with Sats in terminal one. Good reviews. Paid $29 using TAs link

        • let me know how it goes

        • +1
        • @hypie: how was it?

        • @madmouse58:

Can vouch for SATS premier lounges. I was in T1. Decent food that was refilled while I was there. Was pretty empty when I was there but got a bit busier just before I left. Plenty of room, free flow alcohol (basic spirits like Gordon and red label). Not bad at all. Will definitely use this again if it doesn't expire.

Oh yeah the food was pretty nice too. Nothing compares to the Qantas lounge but definitely decent. Oh and free OSIM massage chairs.

I was about to purchase access to one of the Heathrow lounges when I decided to try out the LoungeBuddy app itself. It revealed that I already have free access thanks to being a holder of the ANZ FF Black card that was popular on here a while back! The ANZ site makes it clear that there are two Qantas lounge passes included but doesn't go into a lot of detail about the others.

It might be worth trying the app if you do have a rewards card.

Thank you for visiting our offer. This promotion has ended and is unavailable for redemption

  • dammit! was going to book it tonight for a trip via SIN on 22nd but missed out! What to do now for 9 hours overnight! ARRG!

    • thanks but this is probably better value :)
