C20DS

Hey guys,

I just received an email from cash rewards. It's my first post so please let me know if I've missed/ screwed up anything.

Huawei 6P 32 gb black shows up as $721.99 before coupon, but apply at checkout and it's AU $577.60 with free postage. Go through Cashrewards and receive an additional 1.25% cashback (totalling AU $570.38).

Seems to be a pretty good price?

        • im sorry thought you were pushing an expired deal you maybe thought was still active…i clicked on it thinking still an active deal and Oz stock even better…. No probs Gazza all good understand.

Didn't stop the morons from negging me 2 times for pointing out that deal is expired and no longer relevant as a deal, but hey there everywhere these days.

  • Any advice on how the Huawei Nexus 6P compares to the Motorola Nexus 6?

Reason I ask is that my daughter has the Nexus 6 and it is great Phablet. My wife has a Huawei phone, but its touch screen is not as accurate as the Motorola or other Samsung devices we have.

I want to get a phablet and I would like to get it through a supplier that offers extended warranty like Kogan, so the 6P is ticking all the boxes. However, I want to ensure I get a device I enjoy using and I don't get frustrated by poor quality.

Not sure how it compares but perhaps read this review by Cnet:

      http://www.cnet.com/au/products/google-nexus-6p/

Their reviews are always quite comprehensive and they do compare it to a number of other phones. Supposedly this is the best Nexus yet.

I'm in need of a new phone but haven't been able to make up my mind just yet :.. The ASUS Zenfone Deluxe 3 will come out later this month but it hasn't been announced yet if it'll be released in Australia..

It's definitely not poor quality. It's entirely comparable to any of the other flagships in fit and finish.

I still rate it as one of the best phones available - the screen, camera and battery life are among the market leaders, the front facing speakers are excellent, and stock Android is a big advantage in smoothness, reliability and fast updates.

      My only reservations are:
      a) It's quite large - the jump from 5.5" to 5.7" screen size was a bigger change than I expected. I got used to it, but it's not for everyone.
      b) Some have reported that it's easy to bend. I haven't had any problems myself, but then I treat my phone with the respect a $900 device deserves, and I have a good case and screen protector.

  • Would you still get google play store warranty on this? or it will be Kogan Warranty?

    • google play store warranty is only if you buy it from google

  • More tempting to wait for the next phones which should be announced within a month (i think)
