    Maybe I am missing something, but this model appears to be $649.99 on the Dell website;

    I must be making a dumb mistake somewhere.

      USA - AUS

      Yeah, that's Dell US.
      But you were right about the dumb mistake :)

    • That's the US site. Price is American price, in USD.

      • That will do it :-(

        I just checked and can't find it on the AU site - probably another dumb mistake.

    Compared to this deal, it's really not very good. And the screen will definitely matter, with websites nowadays being designed for high resolutions. I find that productivity is really suffering nowadays on 1366x768 screens.

      I absolutely agree with you but some people prefer Dell over Lenovo.

      • Not sure why, my experience with Lenovo has been 100 times better than with Dell laptops.

    • I bought this deal a bit better Aus $868

      I can not complain

    Struggling to see the bargain

      Yep. The lenovo on sale has the same CPU, FHD, a 6 cell battery (compared to 4 in this), a far better dGPU, trackpoint, and a DVD drive, which outweighs brand preference IMO.

      EDIT: Also 3x USB 3.0 ports.

    Didn't know AMD had a graphics card range as low as R5. Does it even perform any better than Intel's integrated graphics?

    $928 shipped for a WAY better 1080p IPS display, and much more powerful GPU, with all the other specs being identical. No bargain here.

  • regardless of your brand loyalty, past dell models have been this price for better specs, and other brands like aforementioned lenovo's have better specs and service. no bargain
