Horrible registrar that doesn't follow ICANN rules, eg will bloke transfers out when domain is close to expiry which is against ICANN rules. Customer service sucks as well.

Also worth noting they are actually an enom reseller for a number of TLDs as well rather than being an accredited registrar themselves.

Moved all my domains out of them, I stick to GD and name.com now primarily as well as trying out namesilo, rebel.com, and gandi.net with a few domains in each and all have been fine. VentraIP for au domains.

Never had any problems with them personally, great customer support!

Not sure why I'm getting downvoted, just sharing my experience with them, I was a customer with them for many years, from when they were purely an enom reseller. They were quite good for a while until they got bigger.

I've probably owned a couple thousand domains over the last decade so I've been through many registrars, and I can't recall any others that block transfers out if domain is expiring, as per ICANN rules you can transfer domains out even after expiry (I think 30 days after expiry, but it might be 12 days), this is for .com (other TLDs may be different). If they blatantly disregard the ICANN rules, who knows what else they're doing dodgy.

At the end of the day there are a lot of other registrars you can go with that have similar or better prices, and don't do anything dodgy.

  • These are regular pricing

Just FYI prices for renewing these domains are pretty high

None of those TLDs listed above are actually for sale, and if so it would not be $1.

    How much for .sex?

    • -1

Depends, if you look hot it could be free. Else there's a lot of paid options, not sure if you can claim amex back or if you can find them on groupon.

  • So does this include a Zone Manager?

I know Crazy sells domains cheap, but they don't allow you to edit any records by default, which adds another $25 to the cost if you actually want to add some DNS records which is stupid.

If they DO allow you a zone editor, good price…..

I'm in the process of changing business/domain names, and after getting my .tech domain last night, I've had a quick look and everything is there to edit. For the time being I'm just steering it to my old site.
