Getflix: Lifetime Subscription USD $29.99 (~AUD $40) @ SharewareonSale

240

Hi Bargainers,

First deal here.

I remember see the lifetime subscription for $39.99 sometime back on here so I figured this was a good deal. This is a little cheaper for those who didn't get it last time.

Apologies about the uncertainty abuout the end time the email I got said 24hrs but the site said 2 days.

Let me know if this deal could be improved upon in way and I will try and figure out how to change the description.

Getflix has been terrible over the last few months. I've given up on US Netflix and they seem to have ongoing problems. Just check their Twitter account @getflixau to see the have daily outages. I'm just waiting on my yearly subscription to end.

Sure there have been Netflix issues for all DNS / VPN providers but I have found Getflix are he most reactive is responding to outages. I still watch US Netflix almost daily and it works great.

They also support lots of other video services which I use often.

    • Is it only US Netflix that has issues? Or is it Netflix across the world?

      • +1

Netflix across the world. In fact, getflix now only gives access to USA and UK (used to be a dozen countries or so).

Most other unblockers don't work, at all, anymore.

      have daily outages

Looking at their Twitter posts - https://twitter.com/GetflixAU?lang=en you and I have very different ideas on what constitutes daily. For me, and the rest of the world, it means each and every day, for you, it seems to mean 9 days over the last month, and in half of those cases, they were not full days. I have only being affected twice since this ramp of Netflix blocking DNS servers.

    • Getflix has had their issues (what geoblocking bypass service hasn't with Netflix?), but in large it works quite well. US and Canada work for me on Android, Chromecast and Windows 10. The Getflix Android app makes region switching super simple too.

Trying to push out subscriptions now that the service barely works. Not their fault though, but unfortunately, due to Netflix changes, it seems that 50% of the time, the service is down as they're trying to get it to work.

The purchase is still worth the cost, however, if you want a VPN. $30 for a lifetime VPN subscription is pretty good.

    • Agreed.. I've turned off Netflix redirection for the time being…
Bargain price for quite a decent performance VPN even if they shut up shop in the next year. (which seems likely if they can't get Netflix working properly)

        • +10

Getflix offers a VPN service as well as a DNS redirection service.
Don't get confused, I am a Getflix subscriber and have used their VPN. :-)

          @scubacoles:

Hah! OK. My Bad. I stand corrected.

So how is their VPN service compared to some of the others offering "lifetime" subscriptions? (i.e. PureVPN, etc..)? Worth signing up for? How many servers do they offer?

        • Get IS also a VPN service, dont get confused, offers openVPN login details.

          @skysky:
Never used any of the competitors…
But I've had torrents running at around 800kbps over VPN versus maxing out my connection (without VPN) at about 1mbps.

        • +1

@scubacoles: What you say is correct. There are FAR TOO MANY confusing and incorrect posts regarding this issue.

As for Netflix via Getflix's Smart DNS service… not a problem here, so far. If Netflix US becomes unavailable, I just take a few minutes to refresh and update settings and reboot router and devices (rare).

Even if Netflix becomes an unworkable option, GetFlix is still a bargain with their VPN service thrown in.

Their (GetFlix) support, for me anyway, has been prompt and their solutions correct. Can't expect better than that.

If anything, I am suspicious of anyone offering a "lifetime" subscription, for a low cost, particularly via third parties, including SharewareOnSale.

      • Yeah I've also disabled mine for the time being. Was proving to be too much of a PITA testing various GetFlix sites only to give up and disable it a good portion of the time.

    • +1

Yep, all the regions except USA and UK are gone, and you'll still get proxy errors sometimes, but it mostly works, so $30 for as long as they last probably isn't a bad bet.

  • Getflix is working fine here with Netflix USA and has been for a few months now.

But, I had to set up static routes as shown below:

    https://getflix.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/201783234-Netg…

I also set up these routes on an Asus router as well which worked just fine.

2 queries I have about this deal:

    1) It says Getflix by "Smart DNS Proxy"

    Isn't that a different company?

    2) Lifetime deals always worry me, it shows a company desperate for revenue now, at the expense of a future sustainable revenue stream.

    • 1) I have emailed them about that but I don't know if I will get a response Quick enough to be of any use.
      2) I know what you mean but I am just letting people know it is available. Also given how much people liked previous more expensive deals I figured it would be a good first post.

been using getflix all year to stream the NRL…
    screw giving foxtel money!

    • +1

Same here, just use it for the DNS. Great deal for me, I don't care about Netflix.

  • I was with unotelly and still have a month or so left in my contract but they have been quite unusable past 3 months so i have given up.

But to my surprise Netflix AU starts to have the content i was after from the US catalogue so i think i dont need dns/vpn services anymore.

Also, dont think that a “lifetime“ service will last more than 2-3 years.

  • Thanks for posting the deal mate..just got it..lets see how long it last😀

  • Plus you get 10% discount for new signup, making it $27 USD

      on over $30.00

Anybody purchase 2 X at the same time?

      • worked for me

        • yep thanks tried it worked , two coupon you apply to separate accounts.

        • @rokkz:

Anyone getting the coupon code? not getting the email

  • is SharewareonSale reputable?
    or spammy?

    • It's not really SharewareOnSale, which is really just a crappy and overly monetised WordPress/WooCommerce daily deals site.

This deal is actually powered by the StackCommerce platform who run the StackSocial site. I've made many purchases through StackSocial over the last few years and found them to be reputable so far.

I got myself a Getflix lifetime subscription (lifetime is actually a 5 years subscription) through an earlier StackSocial deal which was more expensive and I've been happy with it even though they've had problems with Netflix lately. As others have mentioned, their VPN is great, their SmartDNS works with many services and is easy to manage, and Getflix support has been pretty good in my experience.

I mainly use mine to stream nrl games. It's worth it for that for me. Gave up on US Netflix

    • Try setting static routes - Getflix was the only one that worked for me.

  • Just rejoined and Netflix is working again!

  • is this back to $39 already??

    • +1

Yep just marked in it expired. It lasted two days instead of the expected 24 hrs.
