Looking to buy a Tivo and noticed that this deal came out yesterday:

Bonus 1TB drive by redemption. These drives cost $249 on the Tivo site, so a decent saving.

Purchase a TiVo® between May 28th and June 20th, open a CASPA™ wallet and score a bonus 1TB Expander Drive.

Here are the redemption steps. You essentially need to setup a CASPA account to claim the drive.

1.Purchase a TiVo Media device between 28th May and 20th June (see Terms and Conditions)
2.Before 31 July, activate your TiVo by going to "Activate Product" on the main page of this website
3.Before 31 July, open a CASPA Wallet. During the activation process you will be asked to set up a CASPA wallet using a credit card - take this option. Don't worry you won't be charged anything against this Credit Card unless you choose to rent pay per view content on the CASPA service.
4.Before 31 July, go to the redemption page in this section of the Website. Enter your delivery and contact details along with your store receipt number, date of purchase and place of purchase. Retain your receipts as proof of purchase.
5.Our redemption page will confirm that your TiVo has been activated and your CASPA wallet is set up.
6.A $9.90 delivery charge will apply. You will be asked to enter your credit card details for the delivery amount.
7.A confirmation email will be sent to you confirming your bonus offer redemption.
8.You will also receive another confirmation email when your goods are being dispatched.

    Is this only for new TiVo owners?

    What if I have a TiVO and CASPA wallet already setup and then buy another TiVo?

      Should be for NEW TIVO purchased between 28th May and 20th June.

      old CASPA account should be fine if new TIVO is registrerd with OLD CASPA account. Not sure though!

      On step 5 you can make sure that
      "5.Our redemption page will confirm that your TiVo has been activated and your CASPA wallet is set up."

    Got a price match today from Harvey Normans for $585 for the TiVo.
    So buy it before the 20th June and you get a free $230 external hard drive.
    Not bad at all!
