Most Verbatim-Branded Items, E.g. Chargers, SDHC Cards, USBs at 1/2 Price @ Woolworths

520

Many Verbatim items at Woolworths are half-priced - follow deal link to see what you can get online.

In addition, I also saw items in-store not listed online, also at half-price.
Pics taken in-store : pic1 and pic2

Examples of items found in-store not available online include:

  • Dual-Port USB Wall Charger 3.4A $8.97
  • USB Car Charger 2.4A $6.47

They may not be available at all stores, but if you are interested, it is worth a check at your local store to see what is available.

Edit: The Dual-Port USB Wall Charger 3.4A $8.97 was available at 3 Woolworths stores I went to. So hopefully, there are stock in many stores.

Not all appear to be half price…

    • OK, my mistake :-) I have amended title.

    Price in title please

    • +6

      they're all different…

    • Quite a few items, they won't fit into title line.
Not sure of posting rules, do I simply pick one item at random and list the price? Would it not be better for anyone interested to see them all, by following the deal link? Thanks.

think the standout might be the Dual-Port USB Wall Charger 3.4A $7.47 and you'd get more clicks if mentioned.
Bought at $10.77 or so last week and that was already discounted.

agreed - this is the BILB(*) of the lot

Another mistake, sorry :-) And I have amended.
          USB Wall Chargers:
          The 3.4A is $8.97
          The 2.0A is $7.47

        • @shmahoo: pls see my correction above. USB Wall Charger 3.4A $8.97.

        • +2

@bluesky: still a BILB (Can I get on Ellen if I start this term?)

        • @bluesky:
whoops, the dangers of speed reading while under influence.
          Good pickup

        • @shmahoo: If not (get on Ellen!), it might still become a buzzword on OzB. Like broaden :-)

@bluesky: shoot for the moon, let's see what happens!

        • @bluesky: are the different amp chargers for different items that require them, or does the higher one just charge faster?

        • +2

@subywagon: No, they are not for different items. The higher ones will charge faster, for devices that can charge faster.

        • @bluesky: Thanks, that's what I thought

          Like broaden broden :-)

I saw a few remaindered Verbatim items at Woolies Crows Nest on Tuesday. Didn't want any for myself and not sure if they were bargains but anyway here's the picture.

    Still overpriced.

Verbatim - a brand once renown for optical media. I hope they are able to pull the same level of reliability with their electronics.

    • +3

They were known for their floppy disks before that too.

      • +3

They were THE best floppys - no bad sectors.

        • +1

          awesome DVD+Rs too!

          Made in Singapore, or bust!

          Japanese Taiyo Yudens kthx!

    • +1

They were renown for expensive floppy disks. Their optical media was no different to any other.

Now they just make low quality slow USB drives and flash memory.

  • woolies site is coming up blank

    • I tried it on desktop, and also on phone. All seems OK. With the phone, I did notice that it took a while to load, at least 5-10secs.

      Works for me

  • Would the dual port 3.4A be ok for the LG g5 quick charge?

    • Cannot imagine why it will not be Ok for phone.

      • Well I'm sure it'll charge, but whether it will be normal charge or quick/fast charge.

        • Most likely quick charge at 3.4A - considering it's a new phone.
Still this is just a conventional quick charger. LG G5 supposed to feature Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, this is not a quick charge 3.0 charger.

        • +2

          @bluesky:

The 3.4A charger has a 1A and a 2.4A port. There are no certification markings for QC 3.0.

Its pretty compact and the build quality seems good.

3 dual port chargers left at Miranda NSW Woolies

  • These usb drives are good for one thing. Blocking up a usb input so you can't use it in your device.

  • Prices on some items have been reduced further.
So e.g. the USB Car Charger 2.4A formerly $6.47 depicted here is now $5.80. Tried it and it works fine.

  • Where available in-store, the price of the Dual-Port USB Wall Charger 3.4A has dropped to $8.05 (previously $8.97).
