SanDisk 240GB SSD Plus 2.5" SATA III 520MB/s Internal Solid State Drive PC Mac $77.60 @ PC Byte eBay

1030
CHOICE20

Was browsing eBay for a cheap SanDisk 240GB SSD and found this listed for $97 from seller PC.Byte.Storage. It doesn't state that the CHOICE20 code applies to this listing but I tried it and it worked, bringing the price down to $77.60 delivered. Good price and a very cheap way to speed up your computer.

      Just the listing price.

      • Thanks just ordered one.

Sweet! It's about eight bucks cheaper than MSY. I use these for work so that's a win.

I recently chucked one of these into the wifey's laptop - great for people upgrading their HDD to SSD! 240gb is a good amount. I've found 128gb SSD's a bit too small mainly due to windows updates!

Overall performance - I don't do any benchmarking but in general laptop feels infinitely faster and doesn't 'hang' when it's loading!

Yep. Hands down the best upgrade you could do to a Laptop

  • They must have spotted the error when this listing got swarmed by Ozbargainers. Still showing stock at the higher price of $105. Oh well, fun will it lasted. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SanDisk-240GB-SSD-Plus-2-5-SATA-I…

Edit: stock replenished for $97 listing

  • anyone got a foolproof way to clone a bigger non-ssd drive to one of these? I have a new laptop with 500gb magnetic drive with 300gb of empty space to clone to one of these.

You can also try acronis true image…

You can then clone the hdd from 500G to 240G.

All you need is to create a bootable disk using their software (or you can find ISO image on the Internet), then boot into their system to do the operation.

Best and easiest I've found is Macrium Reflect free edition. Runs straight out of Windows and offers you the option to customise the partitions to the destination disk as you please.

  • Stock replenished @Mod, change the status, please.

  • How do these compare to the Samsung 750 EVO series?

    • They both write and read data quick-smart. Beyond that, not entirely sure.

  • 70 AUD is normal price for this brand and model in my home country - Vietnam. Probably because of cheap importing tax.

    • And also because Vietnam is a lot closer to China where these things are made.

      • +3

But we have to accept we are not at Vietnam.

    Thank you!

  • Best 4k random read drive for os?

CHOICE20 works with all their SSD's so you could get a 480Gb for $156 if you prefer

I've got a 120gb Samsung 840 Evo, but I find 120gb to be a bit on the small side; 240gb would be much better. Would this be a good upgrade?

    • Probably wouldn't notice a performance difference but the increased size would be good.

You paid $77.60 to OZB Enterprises Pty Ltd….
