    I think OzB-ers may be a bit harsh on this vendor, ie,
    without trying it.

    Sometimes, past experiences (eg of Bespoke…?)
    can give vendors pause to change
    the way they do business.

    What were Bespoke's flaws?

    If we list them here,
    maybe this [reincarnation] vendor
    can fix them.

    All I need - before trying this offer

      I don't think this is a good comparison. We are talking about servers here and you are talking about transferring images from your SD card. The limit here does restrict the suitable uses of this website host. It's not good as an image backup service, but you can show your images from a different website.

      Personally, I wouldn't like to use this host for an Australian site. The quick test I use is Chrome Inspect to test how quickly the hosting provider's website loads. According to chrome, https://weekhost.com takes 3.11s to load. I want my websites to load in less than 1 second so that customers can see the websites quickly.

      At the end of the day, I believe that the issue with Weekhost is not the 5KBps disk I/O restriction. The homepage should be cached in RAM. They haven't optimised their site and they are dealing with a 358 ms ping from servers to Australia as well.

      Edit: Actually their website seems to be optimised. In reference to https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/dOQ8Pi/weekhost.com, the performance grade is A, which is quite high. But testing from Melbourne, it is still slower than 88% of sites. Running the same test from Sweden shows the opposite, faster than 89% of sites. Therefore, this web host is simply not ideal for Australian websites. You can't put your data on the other side of the world!

        Signed up for an old domain that I currently have but am not using, pointed name servers but no action, now the main site doesn't even load for me. OP was on 16h hours ago but hasn't responded to any questions. Agree with giving them the flick.
