I brought mine for $48 a few month ago. Been looking at buying another but everyone sellIing for $59 so $55 isn't too bad but I'd still wait till it drops more useless you're in a hurry.

Got mine just over a week ago from TGG online for $48.
Got one from JB for $47 2 days ago. I'll be returning it though coz kodi and netflix lag on it too.
I thought it was only a chromecast 1 issue. But its not.
Must have to do with the fact that it goes from
Router>wifi>phone (data and audio now)>router>chromecast and back again.
Youtube works perfectly.
It isn't supposed to do that, it's supposed to connect directly from Chromecast to router to internet once the phone's handed over, unless you are using screen mirroring (what I have to use to watch nrl).
Yes. I use screen mirror for kodi.
Thanks for letting us know, I was going to buy one to see if it fixed that problem from the old version. Looks like unless you have a router that supports AC WiFi it will be no better that the previous on, and may even be worth as only has 256mb to buffer instead of 2Gb
If your primary use case is Kodi and NetFlix, you should be using Nexus Player instead. Best $100 I spent.
Does the Nexus player allow you to watch anything you want on kodi or is it restricted?
No restrictions as far as I know. Have been using it since Nexus Player launch. Super happy with it.
