        • @watty:

I haven't read anything concrete about it but I would be shocked if they don't upgrade their screen tech, whether it is oled or hopefully even more advanced technology.

        • @Fiximol: Yeah I agree. I do know that if they do make these changes I'm going to buy it regardless of price. How unozbargain of me xD

        • @Fiximol:

          But it's already 'retina'😏😏

I could see them branding a bump in resolution as 'super Retina' or something and people would still eat that bs up.

      • Based on the limited leaked info, people are expecting some more substantial upgrades next year, given that it is the 10th anniversary for iPhone. The home button change for iPhone 7 is kind of an interim step for the next iPhone.

It is expected that the next iPhone will be called iPhone 8.

        • Hard press to believe they would jump to 8 and miss off a 7s model just cos of a 10 year anniversary but I guess well all find out in 11 months and 27 days time

True ozbargainers wouldn't buy overpriced apple products…

  • it's a good deal.. but not impressed by iPhone7 this year..
so went for a optus 12months BYO plan on my iPhone6.

    • I have iPhone 6 as well but tempting towards iPhone 6S Plus than iPhone 7 😜

      • iPhone 6 is a ding and scratch magnets, soft alum metal was annoying. 6s 10x more durable.

  • Nice phone but 3gig internet is nothing. You need 10gig a month if you browse internet a lot (without watching videos). You will end up paying a lot more with data plans on top of this cost.

      Dude, dont you have wifi?

      • Some people are on the go a lot :)

      • Yes but I use the internet all the time outside of home. Instagram destroys your data too. Virgin know people will go over their data allowance, that is where they make their money with this plan ;)

Yes true and 1 GB bonus expiring 31 oct 2916 means after that only 2 GB per month …not worth

        • +1

@MyLoginName: Not correct, if you sign up before 31/10/16 you will receive 3GB total over the 24 months.

        • They charged me $50/G last time I went over my limit, 5cent per Mb if you don't get the data pack before hand. My home WiFi was off and did not realise it until it was too late!!!!I did set the alert to warn me if my data is approaching limit, but I did not get the alert until a few hours after the limit was exceeded. Had to pay $70 extra for just over a Gig of excess data (I had a 2.3G per month data plan. Normally it is enough for me because I use wi-fi at home and work.)

  • Its a great deal considering Virgin has advertised S7 Edge plus smart gear for the same priced plan. Could this be a price error?

Any good deals for iPhone 6S Plus 128gb ??

  • Too bad the phone itself is not worth having, even for those devoted to apple.

  • what i dont get is their pricing model for the 128GB ip7
    $40plan + $40 handset = $80/month
    $50plan + $24 handset = $74/month
    $60plan + $33 handset = $93/month

    1. It's actually cheaper to go on a $50 plan than a $40 plan wut.
    2. handset cost is actually higher than the $50 plan on the $60 plan dawut?

Either the guys at Virgin don't know how to maths or they saw Optus/Voda's offering and made a last minute change to their presumably their best selling plan…

Either way I placed my order for this :D getting tired of my xpz2

    • Darn, I've missed out :(

  • I still feel like they are cheating… :)
$40 SIM only plan got 7 Gb data and $200 international credit.
    $40 Phone plan 3 Gb + $100 international credit

  • could be real one, i remember i got very sweet deal with virgin back years ago for my first (and last) apple product, iphone 3gs.

Looks like the deal has expired.

    • Yeah not sure if it was pricing error or limited promotion but now it's a 1gb plan for $80

  • I think this deal has disappeared? Can anyone still see the $74 option? Thanks

    • probably sold out

  • It seems like the 3gb of data option has disappeared on the website for the 32 and 128gb phones… hopefully they bring it back when they have more stock. I was waiting 3 days for Virgin to get back to me regarding a loyalty bonus and in that time the phone sold out :(

    • Loyalty bonus?
Could you please give a bit more details about it. :)

      • I was trying to get them to include a bit more data (I'm currently getting 12gb per month on the $40 plan and have been with Virgin since 2011), as friends had managed to get Optus and Telstra to add a bit of extra value.

After speaking to a few different reps I couldn't get them to budge on data, but said they've added a $100 credit to the account if I sign up to a new phone by the end of the month… provided I can get my hands on one!

        • Ahh, I see.
I was trying to get Second Service Data Bonus (1 Gb) from them since I have 2 phones with them.
They said it's for a new services only. Sounds like the only way to get it is to cancel second service and to add it again.

The deal is still open not expired.

I walked into a virgin store at hurstville and bought 128gb black iPhone. They silver, gold, white and black iphone7.

Virgin reps said they advertise they have stock because apple want to create marketing demand.

Signed up to a new deal where you get 9gb of data, unlimited calls unlimited texts, $400 worth of international calls for $98. Plus parents ported over on cheaper $30 deals and we all get another 1 gb days each month.

You can also call and ask for the $50 plan for the iphone7! It comes up as $74 per month - deal not expired! I also managed to get first two months service fee vavied signing up as a new customer!

Does anyone have a screenshot of the deal when it was advertised along with the expiry?

  • Has anyone received their phone? I've ordered one on 12th Sep online on a $74 plan

    • +1

Ordered late at night on the 12th, and received mine on Wednesday. 256gb on the $50+29 plan.

  • Has anyone been able to sign up for the $74 plan recently? It's showing as $86 now. I just called Virgin up but the sales on the phone said it was a special "preorder" price so he couldn't sign me up then quickly wrapped up the call…

  • Does anyone have full screenshot of of this deal with iphone visible?
