I can understand that. All the innovations shown on the new iPhone 7… even if i never had one i feel like i need one now.

  • Does anyone know if the G930FD has the right bands for Australia?

  • Thank you.

This seller only 3 feedback if you don't mind, S7 Edge $589 before 10% off.

Hmm seems dodge… what does everyone else reckon?

    • +3

      Lol you're kidding right?

      • Haha someone bought one. Risky business

    • Don't do it

      • +1

3 sold, three tried their luck.

    • +2

kudos to those who try their luck.

    • It's been taken down. Good luck to those three.

      • Taken down or sold out because they only have 3 available?

seems like it was taken down, if it was sold out, it would be stated so

  • Amazing price!

  • not bad but not quite low enough to tempt me to sell S6 and upgrade

  • Worth waiting or buying. Not in a rush. Need it brfore December

    • They seem to be on special pretty frequently, I don't see an issue waiting if you're not in a rush.

Will probably pick something up when it reaches sub 550. Have a working Note 4 (albeit with a slightly cracked screen) that has served me well.

Plus, want to see what happens with some of the Xiaomi flagships.

  • this or wait for the new nexus….

      20 days to go!

  • Can i flash the Australian Firmware and use samsung pay? Flashing firmware doesn't need to be rooted. Correct me if i'm wrong?

  • Don't do it, its a grey import and the customer service is so bad ( yes I took this risk because of their rating).

I got the same phone of them 2 weeks ago and just 3 days ago the screen started to flicker and its a known issue for samsung for some batches.

They still haven't responded to my messages via email for 3 days straight now.. Not even sure what to do next, maybe report to ebay.

      • Thanks RedRocket21 I did what you suggest and they were quick at responding and refunded my full amount .

        Thanks

Are you allowed to take them into a public venue, or on board a plane?

    • +3

Yes. It is S7 not Note 7

  • +1

Lol, I posted this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/260616 last month and didn't get anywhere near as much loving as this deal.

    • Gold is a more niche colour I guess.

  • Gr8 Price. A little bird always reminds me that when it is too good to be true, it always is. We are ozbargainers not fools because it is cheap. Need some common sense, I believe.

  • Therefore, would this phone be safe to purchase or not, Ozbargainers? Cheers.

    • Please read the above discussion and make your own judgement and common sense. At the end of the day, you have the money and you take the ownership. Paying higher price has no guarantee that the phone is faultless but better confidence that the seller might give you a reply.

  • Seems like the seller lies about their item location (NSW vs Asia). Not trustworthy at all.

  • Any good deals on S7 Edge? Does Exynos / Snapdragon thing exist there as well? Because the ones I found don't have that information listed. :(
And, I have never used a coupon in ebay. Is it after committing to buy? Because, it says I am commiting to buy at $710.

I bought an S7 edge from this seller about a week ago. After they sent it, there was no tracking number. I messaged them about 4 times asking for the number, and every time they dodged the question, checked them selves, and told me in the message when it would arrive. Once it arrived, they sent me a message saying "Oh we were understaffed at the time, so we couldn't deliver you the tracking number". Complete BS obviously, since they knew themselves when it would arrive. I figure they wanted to hide where it was coming from.

It was a dual-sim variant, and I was fully aware it was a grey-import. However, I received a United Arab Emirates version, complete with UAE firmware/manuals/charger. Arabic applications were also installed. I was expecting an asian varient, and was hoping for an asian/american plug since I'll be moving off to Japan. That's just a small gripe anyway. I ended installing Australian firmware for the s7 edge with Odin, since it still works for dual-sim varients. Just know what you're getting into before you pull the trigger on this.

    • Thank you for the info. :)

    • I presume the model you bought is different to the one listed here, is the one listed in this deal the australian one? OP can you clarify please, dont wanna be getting a UAE version thats for sure.
These guys seem kinda dodgy. Has anyone else had experience with them in the past?

    • I got mine through DWI and it is also the UAE version, but there was only one Arabic app installed and I was able to uninstall it. It came with English and Arabic manuals, a British plug charger and an adapter for Australia. What is the advantage of flashing it with Australian firmware? Should I be doing this too?

  • Seems pretty cool. Should I buy it now or do you think better prices will appear in near the future?
Looking to buy a new phone and damn this seems like a good offer, although I kinda want the s7 edge.

    Previous Galaxy owners,
how long do the galaxy s line of phones last, I have to keep in mind that the phone may soon be a year old (new s8 coming early next year), will these phones last 3 years since they were first publicly available? What is you experience with the galaxy s series in the past?
Does the resale hold and is it easy to resell the phone?

Has anyone used this deal and purchased this exact model from these guys? How was your experience with them?
Thank you in advance for your replies, they are greatly appreciated!

    • Free :) and BIG hugs to all ozbargainers. Glad to be alive.

    • I am still using a perfectly working Galaxy S4 (2013). And both my Parents are using Galaxy S2's (2011).
Historically you only get new android versions for a couple of years but can manually update to "Un-official" versions later if needed. For example the S2's are running CyanogenMod based on last years version of Android.

      • It depends on the phone, and you are relying on the community for support. Then there's the added extra work you need to do in order to install custom roms. Most people just want things to work with minimal effort on their part. It's true though if you are willing to install custom roms and you have a popular model you could continue to see updates for a lot longer. Some phones such as the HTC HD2 will probably see a custom rom made for Nougat. Which is not bad considering the phone was released in 2009.

  • I am not sure if s7 battery is also affected by heat problem. Singapore hardwareZone forum mentions this following article.

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1772176/samsung-s7-edge-overhe…

Seems Singapore Telco is saying that s7 2nd sim may be allowed to access 3g in future updates. Fyi.

I am selling my G4 for $287 and purchasing s7 for piece of mind. G4 is still working fine and affected by occasional heat. I bought G4 from qd too, however not comfortable to deal with them again. They are very slow to answer.

I bought it from t-dimension for 738 instead after hearing about free warranty pickup and better customer service. Hope I don't need one as I handle phones with care.

    • my G4 just died last night. Bootloop and shut downs bla bla. So disappointed :(.

  • Is this guy an Aussie Seller? Because, when I filter with that option, this seller doesn't come in. Anyone who purchased with the discount successfully?

  • Just picked one up for $604

  • Can also buy it from Dick smith ebay store with CUT20 coupon. comes to be $633.60.
