In the tradition of $199 Xbox 360 arcades,

This deal has been hinted at in previous threads. ie. here

This particular bundle has been discontinued and slowly discounted by Target until it is now $199

It contains

Xbox 360 Arcade - (Jasper) with Halo 3, Mass effect, Banjo Kazooie in separate cases.
It also comes with the Lips pack - (original game and two wireless microphones)

The Target reference number for the bundle is 45380396

Often these bundles are not on display.. and simply out the back forgotten..

The store I purchased from, did not have them on display nor advertised on the shelf and knew nothing about them until I specifically asked them to find this bundle..

There is similar bundle containing the Xbox pro 60gb with the same bundles games for $349….

To find the location of stock, I called customer relations at target, quoted the target reference number and state I was from… I was then provided with a list of stores than were meant to have stock..

I then called the nearest store and confirmed they had stock, before making the trip to purchase…

Not all Targets have stock (very few do). Some stores still had large numbers of these.

P.S. the console I purchased were Manufactured in April 2009…

Also comes with a One month free trial card of gold live…

The packs are probably left overs from the July 2009 sale where they were $375 as listed here..

        not scratched at all. it was sealed as well. damn.. i doubt i can just exchange the game because the whole thing is a bundle.

    ok after giving up yesterday, i just got one then…and i live in Sydney!
    They can post it from any store (to your house) for an extra $15!!
    Dubbo have a few left, also i was told Port Mac, glendale, campbeltown, wetherill par had a few left.

        They just offered it, i asked if they could send to my local target…but they said they can only send to THEIR local Target. Then the lady suggested they can post. Its $15 P&H which i thought was pretty decent. You can shop online for some things, so it makes sense it's available.
        It's not as secure as getting it in person, but for the price I don't mind.
        Just ask them on the phone (Dubbo did it for me).

        I believe this was a common practice by Target employees, many boxes I inspected had already been pre-opened, badly resealed and I think they wanted to grab all the Jaspers although I don't know why they couldn't just look from the side.

        Mine was also missing all the games except Lips, however I actually rang Xbox support who were kind enough to send me a free copy of the games! All I had to do was send a copy of the receipt.

    Picked one up in Springwood, QLD tried calling around to many stores. When I arrived they said they didn't have one, I asked them to look and they found a similar deal but it was from 2006 and the games were not as good, again I asked them to look and they found one hidden away.

    So it's great for me, as I can probably sell these games for about $50 unused leaving me with a XBox 360 Arcade for $150 :D, I'm using it to record the World Cup, not sure how yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out.
