Teclast Tbook 11 Tablet (no Dock) - 10.6 inch Atom X5-Z8300, 4GB RAM / 64GB $165.99 (AU $220.40) via GearBest

130

Best price anywhere, for those who are willing to give Gearbest a second chance.

This is a 'poor Chinaman's Surface' that has a respectable amount of RAM (4GB) for multi-tasking and it supports a fixed-angle keyboard dock as well. It is NOT included.

It apparently doesn't thermal throttle, so perhaps the manufacturer has learnt some lessons on effective passive cooling.

yeh the EMMC is the Achilles heel on these things if you run it on windows, it will lag if youre used to SSDs android is much better suited.

With Cherry Trail the SoC has no SATA implementation but only a single PCIe 2.0 lane. Put simply you won't see SATA ever, on a Cherry Trail atom device.

oh no there's never expectation of that, it is simply the nature of EMMCs on atom socs

  • Im looking to buy a tablet soon.. This is cheap but i feel this tablet is not as good as other chinese tablets when it comes to heat management based on their X98 Pro. This is certainly cheap.

  • Wouldn't risk this much with GearBest, will wit and see if my 10c orders come first ;)

Gearbest? Just save yourself the trouble and avoid.

    • Gearbest has been excellent, teclast on the other hand would avoid if it's anything like my better spec'ed x16 pro.

No updates to their Android OS in a year, Skype etc MIC doesn't work, their windows is always out of space and windows update would literally take all night 10 hrs for the major ones…

The wifi is really really crap, can't even print wireless properly in Windows 10,vudeo stutters during screen cast and the touch response is really bad…

How is it compare to the Cube iWork 10 Flagship Ultrabook Tablet PC Type-C ? (I bought it 5 days ago at USD164.59 from gearbest too)

  • we use a few cube i10 for projects. Pretty awesome for a andriod/win10 dual boot with keyboard/trackpad, all under AUD200 shipped.
