Can you still only connect One Xbox One S controller to a Windows 10 Anniversary machine via Bluetooth?

    • Item description from the ebay listing bruh:

Get ready to elevate your game experience like never before with unique intensity, precision, and comfort of the Xbox One Wireless Controller! The new Xbox Wireless Controller features a sleek, streamlined design, textured grip, and bluetooth for gaming on Windows 10 devices. Enter the new world and enjoy custom button mapping, improved wireless range, and plug in any compatible headset with the 3.5mm stereo headset jack.

    • I just have Win10 Home and it works perfectly for me. Eats up battery like crazy though.

      • eneloops?

        • I've bought the xbone charge and play that comes with a rechargeable battery and a cable. Hopefully that will work better.

    • Replying to myself here:

      http://www.shacknews.com/article/96199/you-can-only-connect-…

If you want to connect more than one controller, you need to use the Xbox One USB adapter or a USB cable.

Dualshock 3 or 4 with the right drivers seems to be a better option at the moment, if you need more than one.

Just putting it out there. I bought this controller the last time it was on sale.
I am running the latest Windows 10 anniversary update and I have had nothing but troubles with bluetooth connections, button mappings, updating the firmware, crappy mono audio on bluetooth, etc.
The only way it sort of works is when its connected via usb. Defeating the point of wanting to go wireless. I am still waiting for a driver or firmware fix but all I hear is crickets.
    See: http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_support/xbox_on_windows_support/…

    • Same here, connected via USB on Windows 10 anniversary update

  • Can anyone tell me the difference between the $78 one (before discount)
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Xbox-One-Wireless-Controller-…
and the $74 one (before discount)
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Xbox-One-Wireless-Controller-…

(besides one being white and one being black)?

    • The white one is the new Wireless Controller S See: http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-one/accessories/controllers/x…

    • Black one is the old version, main difference is that it doesn't have Bluetooth (there is also an older version that doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack)
White one is the new version, has Bluetooth, textured plastic grip

      • If you only have a normal Xbox One, such as this is there any value getting the white bluetooth one?

        • Not that I am aware of, personally I was going to buy the white one purely because the Bluetooth makes it compatible with more devices and potentially has more uses…

        • If you have a normal xbox (or even an S), I'd go for the elite controller. Far better build quality. The trade off is no Bluetooth.

        • @imurgod: the elite is the black one?

        • +2

@Chuckler: the elite is the $150-199 one, it is a premium controller, but unfortunately has a premium price tag :)

not either of the ones you have listed

        • +1

@Chuckler: it is black and grey. It is not listed here. When it's on sale, it can be had for under $150

    • It has new textured grip & Bluetooth to connect to a PC & customizable button mapping Apparently, dun know if there is more difference or not

      • I also heard slightly tweaked bumper buttons.

      • You can tweak the button mapping on all xbox controllers now

  • I missed this deal by 2 days :( I picked it up for $78 from EBgames. Also, purchased wireless adaptor for windows 10.

I'm a PS4 fan so this was actually my first purchase anything Xbox.

Purchased solely for PC games like DS3, MGS5 and some FPS. Very comfortable controller, better build quality me thinks and looks far better than my PS4 controller.

Rate it high although with some games it's not plug and play, just small tweaks to controller settings - expected.

  • Is it possible to apply an extra 5% as I am a Coles member and we get discount at Target?

  • is this the same controller being sold with the latest xbox one s consoles?

If you can ask one of the ozbargainers who got a $25 off from the microsoft store over $50 spend from the groupon deal :

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/266140

You still can grab controller for $64.95 (89.95-25), TA clarified you can't get cashback using the cashrewards with the groupon code for the MS store though.

    Used Cashrewards. Final price ~$32.20

Just received an email from our affiliate partner that purchases made using this voucher on the Microsoft Store are not eligible for commission via Cashrewards, or any other cashback/rewards sites.

Which should still be cheaper than factoring in cashrewards with 15% off ebay. $65.33 (78*(1-(.15+.0125))) I'm pretty sure cashrewards will base it off the GST exclusive amount as they did with my other purchases, laptop in particular so the cashback will be slightly less.
