  • How about for a6300 any bargains?

    • Haven't seen any A6300 bargains from eBay. If you want 4K video, try Panasonic G7(touch screen, never overheats, good low light video, less rolling shutter and many lenses), less than half price of A6300.

A7ii is mainly for shooting stills, the uncompressed RAW photos are just amazing.

      • Looks good but isn't 16mp a bit low? I mostly want it for stills, but the 4k is definitely a + and I don't like how the Canon DSLR don't have 4K capability unless you spend a fortune. I know little about photography and don't really know the advantage of full frame. I would like to get a nice camera and explore the hobby a bit. Can you shoot RAW in all cameras or are they mostly JPG? Thanks.

        • I shoot RAW only since it records much more details than JPEG. For beginners, I recommend them to use JPEG only because you need adequate photo post-editing skills to start with RAW shooting. Also doing more excerise on composition and mastering A/S/M mode are far more important.

If you take more photos than video, A6000 is the best buy, as A6300 does not improve much on stills.

Panasonic 16mp sensor is bit low for stills compared to APSC and full frame, but enough for 4K video (4K requires 12mp only).

  • Is this a reputable seller?

    • Never tried them before, but found out their official website.

The store is in Perth. All info from their website seems all good :) Selling Australian stock only.

      • They don't have the Fuji XT10 otherwise I would've given them a try! Thanks!

        • No worries.

      • +2

        Actually they are in Adelaide.
This is the web store for Diamonds Camera and Photographic Wholesalers. The bricks and mortar stores have been around for decades. Yes they are reputable.

        • Thanks for that info!

        • +3

I worked for them for 20 years before retiring and they are definitely reputable.

        • @wombat1955: Peter M?

          @davidr: Nope. Tom N.

  • If only it had a touch screen … only thing stopping me.

    • That would be on Mark III !!!

    • The only thing I used a touch screen for on the GH2 was the Focus point selection, which was admittedly heaps easier. Besides that buttons is nicer on the a7.

  • Anyone know if this will come with an invoice outlining GST? Heading overseas soon.

    • Contacted them, the tax invoice will in the box.

      • Awesome, thanks for that.

        • No worries.

        • @jva: Odds are it'll state the original price as well right? Pretty sure that happened in past deals.

        • @oneflewnorth:

IMO, the invoiced amount will be the $1999, since eBay pays part of that price.

Awesome price for it, looks like a good deal. I think this puts it to slightly better than the pre "price rise" Sony introduced in australia earlier this year.

  • Any good deals on the original Canon G7X?

  • Any good lenses?
