I'm not much of an AMF fan ever since they rejected my $3/game voucher, but $5/game is still cheap. It's worth keeping this one around for when the $3 one expires.
yeh, was just bout to ask the same thing.
I was within all the guidelines except for one - I wasn't an AMF Roller.
I asked if I could sign up for it and use the voucher on the spot. The person was set on not allowing me to use the voucher and made it clear that I can't even attempt to use it in future because it wasn't my voucher.
Clearly making money isn't part of AMF's strategy, because they pushed away a group of paying (and longtime bowling) customers.
Anyone that's not yet a member, I would suggest becoming a member first, then a couple of days later returning and saying you received the voucher.
Yeah the same thing happened to a friend I sent a voucher to. He was very unhappy with the experience and has decided never to go again, because of the rude customer service.
I didn't have any problems at Strathfield (NSW), very friendly staff and no problems redeeming the voucher for 2 games x 4 people @ $3 = $24
maybe because they went after 6pm
i reckon this is better than $3/game. cos u have to go there during the working hours in workdays. which is impossible for me and most ppl who have a day job.
I'd wonder whether they would allow 2 people to split the 2 games on this, versus the $3 per game one where anyone can choose how many games they want to play for $3 per game - so still a good bargain, but just means if there's a few of you you all need to play 2 games for $10.
Does anyone know if I can go into a centre and pick up multiple applications for friends, or do they have to go in and apply for themselves?

i am a studant working at an AMF centre part time and can anser all the qustions u ask because i pretty much know all about the deals we offer. as for the 3 $ games and that, some staff may be tight and not let u use it but at my centre we dont mind u using it if u sign up straigt away. With those deals, u need to print them at home and bring them in. i find it highly amusing when people ask me can u print out the 3$ games deal while i am on shift because we simply dont do that because it is your responsibility not ours
