Nice price but I'd rather more size and ditch the 4K for Xx1440 or even 1080 ;)

27" at 1080? It would be like looking through a fly screen.

Sure if you sit 2 feet away from it but Mummy lets me use the big room to play games in ;)

        • My mummy only bought me a top spec computer coz I needed it for making photoshop and internet pages for school

        • @jenkemjunkie: I want 4K for gaming Solitaire and Minesweeper.

        • Buy a TV…

Even if you are further away, the (profanity) would you want to play on a 30+ inch screen at 1080p?

          27" needs 1440p, 30+" needs 4k

        • @edfoo:

You need a 1080 OC with a waterblock mod for that. Tell your parents!

        • @Pacify: It's OK. People are still gaming their PS4 and XB1 on 55" 1080p TV.

        • @Pacify: Because it looks fine? Why would you go backwards in size - size is one of the most important features of a screen in my books.

        • @Pacify: I'd take 120" 1920x1080 anyday over 4K 30".

A good price but a shame about the chunky bezel. The 27UD68-W posted last week (now sold out) looks much sleeker!

  • Theres also a 28" Samsung UHD TN for under $520 with Bing Lee which i almost considered. I think I'd rather an IPS Dell though, the 2 screens I am replacing have lasted 7 years.

  • What does it take to drive a 4K monitor? Can a Macbook Air, or a Surface Pro 3, or a Lenovo T460 push the pixels through?

    • I use a macbook air at work with a 4k monitor. It's fine for word/emails/some photoshop but I wouldn't recommend it for anything else.

      • Can you watch 1080p sourced video full screen without issue?

        • Yes.

  • any good 4k gysncs on sale ? been looking at getting one

    • Acer XB1 XB281HK is the cheapest 4K G-Sync monitor on the market. You just missed the Futu deal.

    What's the difference between UD58 and UD68?

I have this monitor and I can attest that its a very good monitor, works well and 4k is very nice. Not just for content, but even for reading the clarity is fantastic. Although a lot of people insist going larger to maximise benefit it still is a big difference on 27". Only downsides to me are large bezel and port placement, (wouldn't) fit with larger wall mount.
